Re: BB200 2020
Just realised that the 2020 BB200 is the first Bear Bones event I haven't entered since the 2013 WRT...
Feels a bit strange not being "in". I'm sure I'll cope, especially as there will be no mass gathering at either end...
Good luck to all who venture out for the 200 and 300.

What a lovely write up. Thank you very much for taking the time to record your ride here.
I really enjoyed that and am now inspired to get off my backside and explore some of the numerous lanes we must have here in South Devon.
I can feel a Lost Lanes purchase coming on..
Thanks again James.

Bellever is a magnet for this unfortunately. I know the problem is not unique to Dartmoor, but the f*cking mess left behind by such a*seholes beggars belief.

Mountain Bike Wales
I see that Mountain Bike Wales are going to be moving to Staylittle? They are taking over the Community Centre according to their Instagram feed. Have they been in touch Stu and said hello? Seems funny that they will just up the road from BB Towers. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBzsPzdHUHJ/ I guess t...

Re: Reasons for riding.
I enjoyed the freedom a bike gave me as a child. Then it became transport to school. Then after a few years of motorised commuting, It became transport to work. Then a gap of about 20 years followed when the kids came along and I got busy. After visiting Iceland a coupe of times, I wanted to go back...

Re: Jersey orders UPDATE
Well, I pulled my best puppy dog face and sold what little remains of my soul and the order will be going ahead and everyone will get what they ordered with no need for any alterations of substitutes. Thanks to all who rallied to the cause. Thank you for organising (as usual). Cheers :-bd Si

Re: Looking ahead - what are you looking forward to?
Lockdown has had a funny effect on me. At first I hated it and working from home was like a form of torture. However, as time has passed, I have got used to it. Some organised rides I would have taken part in have been cancelled and our road trip to Norway and Sweden has not happened. I try to ride ...

Re: Green Steel
I have the 46cm (may be 44cm actually) VentureMax bars on my bike and they are very comfy. The bio-bend bit just sits in the palm of your hand very nicely. I find it helps you keep hold over the bumpy stuff as the bend helps to stop your hands slipping/moving forwards and backwards on the drops... Si

Coming to a halt somewhere in Snowdonia National Park in 2014 and having a moment of "emotion"! Cooked up some nosh at the side of the road and cried into my dinner. This was about 1 or 2 in the morning. Other down moments I can recall over the years... 2016 - Lost one of my Joysticks whil...

The funniest moment for me I think was in 2016 I managed to pass the cafe by without even noticing it! All these tales of how much people enjoyed it and how it helped them through the night and I never even spotted it! That's always tickled me. I must have been having a full head down and get on wit...

I quite liked the Strata Florida in the middle of the night.
I think that was my first BB200 in 2013...
I may be wrong though! It's a bit of a blur!
