Re: What you done t' your bike today
I've just finished setting up the double mullet drivetrain on my gravel bike. It took me a week in the end due to various life things (work and family left me limited time to troubleshoot issues). I need tonperfect the index and remove a couple of chainlinks, which should eliminate most of the noise...

Gravel tyre choices!!
So moving on from my previous thread about where I should go, I've decided to do the West Country Way from Plymouth to Minehead in August. Which leads me onto my next question- tyre choice. I'm currently running 700 x 40mm Hutchinson Touaregs. Butbim wondering if there is a better choice in the 40-4...

Re: Suggestions for a 3-4 days getaway
Apparently the wife is expecting me to meet her in Ilfracombe at the end of my trip. So weighing up my options- West Country Way, but heading towards Ilfracombe from Exford instead of Minehead or KAW, but taking a train to Barnstaple at the end and meeting the wife in Ilfracombe. I highly doubt my ...

Suggestions for a 3-4 days getaway
I've got 3, maybe 4 days in August to get away for some bikepacking. Where would you suggest in the Southwest of England or South Wales?
Thanks

Wanted: 26" MTB Wheelset
As per the title, 26" mountain bike wheelset. Quick release and disc brake compatible. Needs to be able to fit a 9 speed cassette. It's for a budget build, so nothing too pricey.
Thanks

Wanted: 15" MTB Frame
I’m on the lookout for a 15″ MTB frame, either for 26″ or 27.5″ wheels and disc brakes. I want to have a go at building a bike from the ground up over the next 6 months or so. Ideally less than £100

+1 on the pogies. I've already put mine on for the winter. I think my wife bought them off of wish for about £20. Rock Bros brand.

Re: Tents, tarps, bivvies... help!
I bought an Alpkit Elan hooped bivvy earlier this year. I only used it a few times so far, but I'm really happy with it. If the weather isn't great, you can fully zip up the bivvy. If it's nice, you can just zip up the mesh to keep any bugs out/have a bit of fresh air. It's very waterproof as well. ...

Re: Saris Bones bike rack - any good?
We have a 3 bike one for our Kia Picanto. It's a solid rack, and one of the only rear mount rack that has adjustable arms to fit small framed bikes (mine are 46cm). It also can handle my wife's electric bike.

I'm new to the forum (and to bikepacking). Pic of my bicycle on a recent trip, minus the handlebar bag. The contents of the handlebar bag is the alpkit elan, and what is in the elan.
