Re: Fatbike 1x11 drive train

If it’s the SRAM X5 crank, then yes, just take both chainrings off and replace with a decent narrow/wide one (don’t get a cheapo off Amazon as they don’t fit - ask me how). I’ve used a race face one I'm pretty sure it's the Sram X5 but will need to check. I assume the new narrow wide ring would go ...

Re: Fatbike 1x11 drive train

Any derailleur and cassette will do (the splines need to be compatible). You’ll need a new shifter as well plus might as well get new cable and outer. Unless the chainring is shot you shouldn’t need one of those. The current chain set is a Sram double. Is it possible just to remove the small ring? ...

Fatbike 1x11 drive train

My OnOne fatty is running the stock Sram drive train (2×9 I think) but it is a bit long in the tooth now.
I'm thinking of going for a 1x11 conversion, but not sure what id need.
Anyone know of groupsets available that could be used for this?
Thanks

You could start with the '23 route, then the '14 route, and all the others will be fairly straightforward :-bd

BB200 2024

Is there anything official about this year's BB200? I'm considering entering (my first one), but wasn't sure of typical dates etc.

Can't find anything on here, or the events page.

Thanks

Smokestone bikes closing?

I heard a rumour that Graham was closing up shop at Smokestone bikes... is that true? Seems a shame if so. I heard great things about his bikes and always lusted after their drop bar mountain bike, Mr Harry I think.

Considering selling my medium el mariachi frameset with a rockshox 100mm fork if something more XC floats your boat I'm going to ask a stupid question... what makes that bike mote XC? I assume that means cross country? Sorry I'm not familiar with the terminology really so not sure if I'd want more ...

something from Cube would be my choice. i am trying to sell my Fatbike, and this is gonna be my purchase. The Blackburn Outpost standard front roll bag is very long and thin. I'll measure mine when I get home.

Are there any bargains around for hardtails up to £1k? Something appropriate for bikepacking of course.
