Re: Dave's Bikepack Maps
Please in no way think me ungrateful for the amazing work you have done on it, but is there any. way to have the new data with the old look? I enclose one one of my local haunts QE Park in both the V1 and V2024 maps from basecamp, same detail level and zoom. Yes there is more data in the 2024, but I...

Re: Dave's Bikepack Maps
Yep, dumped it on to the edge 1000's sd and it's seen straight away in basecamp.
Looks totally different colours wise to the v1, is it based on a different base map?

Re: Ultrasonic Cleaner Suggestions
I have a basic "James" branded one, you can fit half a cassette or smaller rings complete it it breaks down, in at a time, which does work ok as you always run then more than one cycle. Pretty much everything else fits in in one go. https://www.bestultrasonic.co.uk/ultrasonic-jewellery-cle...

Re: Bike Abuse, Am I bad?
I normally keep them all pretty clean as they live on a bike stand in the house, but I was just pissed off with it at the time and then just never got around to dealing with it. The bath is in the next room, otherwise its down three floors to get outside.

Bike Abuse, Am I bad?
I normally look after my bikes really well, as the milage I get on components testifies to, but I fell out of love with the Camino after the brake pad pin came out somehow, despite the no fall out clip being on it and it cost me my BB200. So as a result I have pretty much ignored it over the winter....

Re: Which chain lube?
I got some hagen dip wax liquid wax that's been pretty good. Dump the chain in the cleaning bag, leave for 20 mins, then dry. I tend to clean it first in the ultrasonic cleaner to get as much of the crap off of it before the cleaning bag. Then dump it in the wax bag, leave for 20 mins then dry. Seem...

Anything like that hilly wise down sarff seems to cost £40-75. Still you do get a free bag of crap you don't really want for it.

I'm also having issues Dave, it's not recognised by Garmin, it's also a lot smaller than the v1 version. Will try re-downloading etc and setup again incase.

Random cheap magnets
Hey there can anybody suggest a supplier of a way of getting some cheap magnets? I need 64 15mm by 4.5mm neodymium magnets for a toy mini wind turbine I am building but I cannot find that much below about a £1 each in bulk and that makes the whole project too expensive as it’s designed to show kids ...

Re: Bivvy curious
To confuse you more I will add ti goat into the mix. Very light, packs very small, can fit me a large xtherm and a quilt in fine, can be open, fully zipped up or fully mesh head area zipped, mine is two tone green so you cannot see it from a couple of metres away and its reasonably water resistant. ...

Re: Woods Rat Run
Loads of options on the route during more social hours after your dawn ferry: corfe castle probably has a bakery, supermarket and bakery in Wareham, lots of options in Blandford and pubs in most villages (I'd avoid the one in Tollard Royal though as it's a bit posh  ). Ta very much, will try ...

Re: Woods Rat Run
I'm thinking about giving this a try next weekend as Lyndhurst is about 45 mins away from me. I will aim for a very early start next sat morning to hit the sandbanks ferry when it opens at 7am so the prom should be nice and quiet then. Not had a a full study of the route but assuming no issues getti...

Re: DJI and other Drone Handle bar mount
Sorry I cannot find a picture of it in use. The controller clips into it at one end and the other end goes round the handle bars. It works pretty well.

DHL often sub-contract to Parcelforce "for the last mile" if it's in an area they don't have a local depot. That could be why?
