Re: GCN - You’ll never see the world in the same way again
People never see the irony of sitting in a traffic jam whilst complaining about traffic jams holding them up.... Once suggested to a member of staff who kept using “I was stuck in traffic…” for being late that perhaps “they were traffic!” Got rather blank look back  Horses for courses... somet...

I do the tube swap for them … You're doing it wrong. We're all doing it wrong. I've just ̶s̶p̶e̶n̶t̶ wasted 12 minutes of my life watching this and don't know where to begin with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grnmMPnnhq4 That’s why I fixed the tube, I was the only one with acetone

Aeroe rear rack?
Up front, basket that is mounted through the axle if it’s more road/gravel than mountain biking.

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
Yeah, I don’t like the term flat bar gravel (nor do I like rigid mountain bike  ). Let’s settle on ‘bike…’ :-bd It’s got bigger tyres my El Mariachi and Procaliber has and is class them as mountain bikes. I’ve been tempted to put rigid forks in the Procaliber but that would match my other bikes...

Years ago I worked in a TNF store, these were always solid as a rock

Not sure what the modern one is like but a good starting point
Has the YKK zippers too

Re: Fatbike 1x11 drive train
If it’s the SRAM X5 crank, then yes, just take both chainrings off and replace with a decent narrow/wide one (don’t get a cheapo off Amazon as they don’t fit - ask me how). I’ve used a race face one

Actually, embarrassingly, I just remembered I own a salsa Mukluk
Although that does prove my point of wider tyres bringing the comfort*

80 summers
Recently read that we only have (on average) 80 summers in our life
Quite depressing if this summer is counting as one of them…![Neutral :|](./images/smilies/icon_neutral.gif)
Makes you sort of think though (I’m just hitting my 40th summer)

New cassette and chain fitted, worked like a dream on the ‘stand :-bd First pedal stroke on the driveway and the chain bounced off  Refiited the chain the right way  and it still bouncing off  New chainring and jockey wheels ordered, will find out later this week if this solves it…

Yes see you then Dave. Went to find a place for Friday prayers, but got late (could've dome em at my local masjid but was doing the tubeless). Went to the next masjid down as I'd never reach that one in time. L Right, so then ended up in Halfords instead. Bought the chain which I realised might be ...

Surprised nobody's mentioned Wildcat Ocelot. Waterproof zip, mine's been fine for this Rain God. Also doubt you'll get a lighter one. Revelate designs - bought mine second hand and was used quite abit before but mine is still going well after several years of weekly use. I’d certainly buy again. Got the small, can take a pump, repair kit, mars bar, wind shirt and 2 tubes and there’s still a tiny bit of space left Had a look at the...

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
Silly question perhaps but do schrader tubeless valves exist? I wondered that, turns out Stans make some. Every day's a school day  I guess any bolt in Schrader valve would work? I'll have to rummage about in the workshop around the (car) tyre machine. Jones bikes brought some out last year h...
