Chinese special.
Solar x2/magicshine etc or similar clone
Available from ebay or direct from somewhere like light malls.com
Find one you like the look of and google it for reviews.
Uk suppliers provide peace of mind for a small increase in price.
Mtbbatteries.co.uk is one example.

Bikefitting
Hi Today I booked myself in with vankru cycles in southampton for a bikefitting session in early December. I get foot pain/lower back pain and shoulder pain on long (6 hours plus) rides. Anyone else ever been for a bikefitting? What sort of position do you favour for long rides-sit up and beg/long a...

Re: Bike For Life, Fact or Fiction?
So what you're saying is yes Trystan, I think you really should buy the Surly ECR. It will easily last you a lifetime..... Hmm. Am sure that I would still have one or two of the bikes I used to own 20 years ago if they hadn't been liberated by scum sucking weasels. Then again I broke my last "k...

The chap who I was riding with this saturday was was so impressed with the route that he wants us to ride the whole thing in about 3wks time. I struggled with 50 miles of it! Gotta get s...

Kona Honky inc. With Ragley Luxy bars and a Brooks saddle.
Comfy, sturdy bike picked up half price on ebay. Yay.
The grit and poo of my winter commuter route has eaten one drivetrain though not my rims as it has discbrakes.

Unless you are going to be using them as fuel, and consuming them every hour or so I would probably just rely on normal food and take a couple of gels for emergencies-bonking etc. I really like the Torq rhubarb and custard. It is a bit like swallowing someone else's snot though....... Energy bars ho...

I know some of you are gearing up to ride the wrt.
I fully intend to enter next year....
What I would like to know is, are any of you doing the bontrager24/12?
Just curious to know about any fueling/riding tips etc.

Re: Offroad from home?
I live close to the foot of a spur off the south downs way. The SDW is about 5 miles away. Across the Road is nutbourne marsh, replete with cheeky camp spots cut off by high tide. (although coughing badgers scuttling across the flints in the night give me the fear). mixture of terrain on my commuter...
