Re: MYOG seat pack (WIP)
Top job. I love the functionality of the Wildcat Tiger and having done quite a few MYOG projects, I can simpathise with just how differcult I would be to emulate.
Interested to see how it turns out.

Thanks for your comments Bokonon & Petemaz. A little more progress made. Templates cut out. http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/ad151/hoojum/SoloBivi/MYOG%20Tarp/1EBFC838-8BBE-4929-8DF6-A2AD70354BC2_zpshlvtmunh.jpg For this project I've been fortunate enough to get hold of some VX21 fabric which ...

Bar Harness mk2
Having seen the sublime Wildcat front bags Beth had at the WRT I thought I'd have a crack at making something similar. I previously made a harness that's rock solid but a little scruffy so I thought I'd make another, taking into account some small tweeks and and the addition of a front pocket. Inste...

Re: WRT Weigh-in results.
Top half of the table with 42 lbs, 9 lbs off from last year. Happy with that.
Getting down to the mid 30's, like some of those weights, would require me to jettison all the cheese I took. I'll stick with the forties.

Re: WRT - Thank you
Many thanks Stu, Dee and all who helped make the 2014 WRT a great weekend. This year was the first time I've ever seen this on the weigh in! http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/ad151/hoojum/B1vvyB1k1ng/82831D99-60F8-4CB4-9001-2D624A788A4A_zpsdlaauqeg.jpg BlooShmoo and I had ourselves an fantastic cam...

Re: WRT GPX File Needed
Nick, you quite right, I should have been more specific. Has anybody got a route planned that; 1.Takes in as many pubs as possible. 2. Has potential re-supply points along the way. 3. There happy to share with me. Disaster averted! I know ideally I'd have planned my own route but using/modifying som...

WRT GPX File Needed
Due to a mixture of being busy and a little lazy I've not had time to create a route for the WRT. Would any of you kind peeps be up for sharing your planned route (gpx file) with me? Last year was the first time I used a GPS and being able to follow a marker made such a big improvement to my normal ...

Re: Weigh in guestimates
An optimistic mid 40's. Last year was 51, I believe. I've changed some kit since last year and won't be taking 2 days food and 1.5 ltrs of water with me.

Re: WRT set ups
Same kit as last year but with a warmer down jacket and Thermartex blanket. I won't be starting with 2 days food either but intend to pick up food along the way. Last year I came back in with 250g's of the most well travelled trail mix ever. If Stu re-orders the sunshine this year, I'll take the myo...

Re: Thermatex Bedding Blanket
How does is compare to a silk liner?Given that my my silk liner weighs 100g, I'm thinking I could use one of these instead and gain some warmth.

I'm really interested to hear how this performs. It could make a great MYOG sleeping bag cover for coldies like me.

Re: fleegles - any thoughts?
I have Fleegles on 2 bikes now in standard and OS sizes. The OS size does feel a little stiffer and they both weigh to much. If your not after the 720mm width, Ritchey do a carbon WCS bar which is 660mm and over half the weight.

MYOG Frame Bag
I knocked up a frame bag for a friend for Christmas. Made from Cordura, velcro and a waterproof zip, its custom fitted for his Tinbred with its curved downtube. I was quite happy with the results, so thought I'd share. From a cardboard stencil of his frame I cut the 2 sides of fabric and a long stri...

Re: Karrimor X lite bivi bag
I'd been eyeing up this bivi for a while too. I stopped in to Sports Direct today and picked one up and it looks OK. It's 209grams and looks similar to a Hunka but thinner. It'll be a squeeze to get my mat in it but with my mat outside I hope it will be a great lightweight option. For £24.95 and wei...
