Re: Midweek Gisburn Bivi August 7th or 8th
Cheers Greenmug.
Bad news, we think it's going to be on Thursday, plus as only 2 of us from the North West have signed up we are going to ride from home and head towards Rivington instead of Gisburn.
Sorry

Midweek RIVINGTON Bivi August 7th or 8th
I'm getting into these mid week #MicroAdventures and on the 7th or 8th August (weather depending) I'm heading up to RIVINGTON with a mate for a 5pm to 9am bivi ride. Please note the original idea was Gisburn, but to save time driving, we'll be riding from home in the North West. Thursday 8th is look...

New camping bike for 2014
I test rode the Surly Krampus 29er+ back in May at Fat Fourth and fell in love with how it handled but without and braze on mounts and a rumour from the guys at Surly who were over at Fat Fourth that a bike packing specific version would be out in 2014. I give you the Surly ECR (Enduro Camping bicyc...

Re: One more question please
Cheers all, looks like the Borah has my name on it and I've dropped them an email.
Do you thing the Thermarest Neo Air will fit inside the Borah and give enough room for my winter bag which is a Mountain Hardware Lamina 0 synthetic bag (which claims to go down to -18 degrees)

It will be used under a tarp. What other quality bivi bags are out there in the market place please?

The best padded, the best fitting and usually the most expensive you can afford as these WILL last the longest.

I think the Siltarp 1 get's my vote now because of it's weight saving, cheers I was looking at the Siltarp1 and was on the verge of buying it when it was pointed out to me on here that it would not be large enough to cover my entire sleeping form.
