Farewell Ferdinand.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

It's with much sadness that I'm reporting the death of Ferdinand the llama earlier this evening. He was 19 and had been in good health right up until this afternoon.

Many of you will have met him over the years as he went about his patrols of Bear Bones Towers - I hope you remember him fondly.

Oh no! I'm very sorry to hear it. I've only met him the once, but I thought he was pretty fantastic.

Aww

Is 19 a good age for a llama? Not creatures I've had any dealings with.

Sorry to hear that Stu and Dee. I remember the funny looks Fernand gave us as we passed through the enclosure a few times. Almost like a roll of the eyes, what are this lot doing  another couple of idiots...

I'm sure he secretly enjoyed the all night sheep raves, and that strange bloke who brought him carrots

Sorry to hear this news.

LHC team 'B' got a real shock when he met us on the track as we returned to Bear Bones Towers on last year's WRT (turns out he'd snuck out) Not what we expected to see at all, at the side of a Welsh track

Bad news Stu & Dee

However, like others have said, all about the journey. Death comes to us all - oddly I've been thinking about this quite a bit recently, and my thoughts thus far have concluded that death is actually the very thing that makes life so special, as the alternative of living forever would make life not even remotely special, and we should therefore savour the short time we have on this planet. (My thoughts are a bit deeper and more thought through than that, that's the one line summary).

Farewell Ferdinand.

Sad news about Ferdinand.

Loved the calm presence at Bearstock over looking proceedings.

I avoided asking for fear of being insensitive but I did wonder what you do with a dead llama :???:
