BB200 2016 lift/transport thread.

Post by ctznsmith »

Ok so I've started thinking about the complicated logistics of getting to the middle of Wales!

Anyone needing/offering lifts post in this thread?

Is this thread in the right/wrong forum?

So for me, can anyone give me (and bike with 29+ front wheel) a lift to the BB200 from 'the south'?

I will probably be in Dorset but I can get to somewhere else by train/bike if it makes it easier as realise I'm not really on the way.

Have considered hiring a small van and driving up if anyone wants to go halves.

I'm only on the reserves as yet but if i get 'in' I'll be driving over from the south east. If you could make it to somewhere on or near the m4 corridor i might be able to help?

I thought that you'd be in by now Mat

South Wiltshire...not sure if i'm offering or asking a lift yet mainly because I haven't sorted somewhere to sleep on Friday.

I'll be driving up from Dorking (Surrey) on the Friday evening. I'm happy to take someone else but my leaving time will depend on when I can escape work so could be anywhere between 4 and 7.30pm. Probably not much help but give me a shout if it might be.

Charlie- as above, dependent on entry, but I'm only over in Caterham so if no other arrangments take place that could work?

Andrew- me too :(. I hadn't clocked you were on here! Might be down your way next week for work!

I'll be driving up from the Midlands (Leamington Spa to be exact), booked in at the Star Inn on Friday. Happy to take someone up, fuel is free!

Possibly be able to give 1 person and bike a lift from the Brighton/Portsmouth/A34/M4 area, leaving Friday lunchtime.

I am driving over from Hull on the Friday night after work (aim to leave Hull at 6pm'ish)

M62 to Manchester, chester, Wrexham, welshpool, then the Star Inn

Space for one and bike in return for a small contribution toward fuel.

Have a ford focus, so not too tight a squeeze

Don't mind a slight detour to collect /drop off.

Right, due to a complete lack of time and organisation since sneaking in off the reserves list i have no plans other than to drive to wales on friday.

So i will be heading up from caterham at some point on friday with one empty seat. Current plan is probably to crash in the back if the van at the pub friday night though so i can't offer shelter (its a small van)
