So glad I got a Ti Goat Bivi Bag. It's amazing and so much bigger than a hunk XL.

If you want to put a sleeping mat inside your bivvy bag, the XL model is bigger and should work. I can’t say for sure because I haven’t tried that yet.
This definitely works  I'm 5'10" (like you I appear to have shrunk as I'm sure I used to be 6'0" - I blame global warming and subsequent shrinking in the increased moisture) and in a normal sized bivy bag such as the Hunka there's no way I can get sleeping mat, sleeping bag, quilt and me inside. No real problem though with the XL.

According to https://www.alpkit.com/products/hunka-xl it does come in green (well kelp) but it's 30g heavier. This extra weight for the kelp coloured material seems consistent throughout Alpkit's product line.

You can borrow mine this weekend coming if you like as I'll be tenting.
You do need it under a tarp though.

I'm glad I'm not the only one shrinking.

its a shame about the weight of these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/HIGHLANDER-BIVV ... B003BBTX8U I've got one but its only got the full waterproof insert and the zip to take the insert out is broken so you can take it out but not put it back in . The side zip works fine so it would be OK for under a tarp but at 920gms plus tarp plus a pole and pegs you may as well have a tent.

Let's not forget that comparing a Hunka to a Borah (non Snowyside) or TiGoat is unlike comparing chalk to more chalk ... the Hunka is a waterproof bivvy bag, the others are not. :geek:
