Anyone got a High Latitude?
I'm considering building up a frameset as a rigid bike-packer/mountain bike but reviews seem pretty scarce.
Thanks in advance.

Yeh I have one. Love it, really great bike. Just a shame it only has one set of bottle mounts. Bar that cnt recommend enough :)

Re: Genesis High Latitude (2015)
My wife has one (2014) and its been bomb proof and great value for money, my only criticism is that it's a touch heavy (the bike not my wife). Its going to get a dropper post for Xmas this year. Not been used for bike packing yet but will be soon and I foresee no problems with it.
Re: Genesis High Latitude (2015)
I've got a Latitude (650B version) and I really like it. It's got a forgiving ride and covers the downhills much better than my other bikes but they are both 26" so the bigger wheels might be a part of that. Mine weighs just over 28 lbs as pictured. I've not been bike packing on it yet but as above, I see no reason why it wouldn't be a great bike for that. Mine has 2 sets of bottle mounts and also bolts on the underside of the downtube for a crud catcher.

For anyone who's interested in a high latitude I've just had an email with this offer for black Friday

vaguely exciting, thanks!sean_iow wrote:For anyone who's interested in a high latitude I've just had an email with this offer for black Friday
I love my High Latitude. It's a great bike, good fun on singletrack+downhills but also comfortable for long distances (did the HTR on it).
It's too small for me though, so I came into this thread to say how much i'm going to miss it when I sell it. Thanks to sean's link, I've just replaced it with a bigger frame :D
Re: Genesis High Latitude (2015)
I've ordered one tonight, bargain!

The parts I'm recycling for the build are clean and ready. I've got a headset on order and wheels being built at the LBS. I'm waiting for forks, pedals and bars from different suppliers and I'll need to get a stem when I get it all together.
It should be assembled next week
