The next one is The one where things get a bit more enjoyable... about the first few days on the Grand Traversee du Massif Central mountain bike route...
After that, its all dependant on me writing some more about the last week or so. The scenery in the southern Massif Central is amazing - the last week has been very good

Beautiful stuff here. Keep it up
Walked through the french Alps just recently and can feel how I'm falling back and already missing that feeling of traveling through France (the countrly seems to be solely made for such journeys - be in cycling or walking).
Your blog surely does help to trigger that wanderlust again.
Thanks
Nothing wrong with some rider trash (as in hiker trash)I realise, not for the first time, that I often think that people are thinking the worst of me. Those looks of disapproval that I saw were in fact looks of genuine curiosity and ended up in a lovely conversation.

Re: My open ended ride...
I spent some time cycling around the Massif Central region a few years ago ... lovely place, can't understand why more cyclists don't go. After a couple of days I did start to wonder why I was riding a SS though
May the bridges you burn light your way

Really enjoying reading the blog Chris. Very jealous of where you are. Looks lovely despite the Brokeback locals!

Re: A kind of open ended ride...!
Just read the last two posts, going to have to set some time aside to read the lot. Heading to Andalucia for some cycling on Monday, but it'll be on our road bikes. Would love to go out and do the TransAndalus at some point.

Thanks very much. I'm back in the UK for the time being and am struggling to remember the little details and emotions, which makes it really hard to write about, so its good to get some good feedback!ianfitz wrote:Have read the lot as they came out i'd recommend it.durhambiker wrote:Just read the last two posts, going to have to set some time aside to read the lot.
