Do you use your Bear Bones merchandise?
By which I mean the bits and bobs we receive (mostly) at the Winter event.
Over the years, I have been given a bum bag, fluffy dice, water bottle and a thermal cup.
I regularly use my water bottle, but today I used my bum bag for the first time ever.
In a moment of madness I decided to run to work this morning and only needed to carry a pair of socks, house keys and mobile phone. I didn't want to have these items in my pockets, so racked my brains trying to think of a bag to use. I remembered my very nicely embroidered BB bum bag and used that.
It worked a treat!
So, do you use any of the items (part from T shirts) that you have been given by Bear Bones?
(Random question for Tuesday)

Re: Do you use your Bear Bones merchandise?
Not used the Thermos from three events ago but this year on the way down to Llanbrynmair had a little accident with a <burn him!>disposable coffee cup</burn him!> so the thermal mug was very timely and have used it a lot. There's an old thread where I mention one of the outlets near work not quite getting the "don't use a disposable cup then pour it in to the reusable one!"
I can't remember what the item was from 2017

Oh yes, I had forgotten the thermos flask... Haven't used that yet!
2017 was the water bottle I believe.

I think the thermal double layer buffs were very good and you see quite a few woolly hats about still.
May the bridges you burn light your way
Re: Do you use your Bear Bones merchandise?
Still use the thermal buff and the micro fibre towel, The bumbag has seen some use as well, but I’m afraid the petrol lighter has sat in my box of bits unused...probably just as well with my track record with fire
Re: Do you use your Bear Bones merchandise?
I had forgotten the buff and towel too!
Jeez, my memory is shot. Use both of those a lot...

The towel is part of my regular kit and has seen plenty of action. Dice hang here in my studio adorned with TD and BB wristbands alike. Mrs Scattamah was fair chuffed to get a BB coffee cup and it's now part of the camp kit for the van. Every time I ride, I look at the stickers affixed to top tube.

Coffee cup sees fairly regular use as does the flask in winter.
Lighter is on my workbench but hasn't been used.
Towel a couple of times.
Bum bag is in the kids bedroom somewhere.
Son wears the beanie for rugby training instead of his club beanie.
Fluffy dice were in my pickup until I sold it, really annoyed the wife.
Water bottle was useless but the wine inside was ace.
Thermal buff doesn't get used on the bike as I'll overheat but this winter whilst snowboarding in Finland and Norway was bloody brilliant, I had to surrender it to the kids a couple of times when it was really cold.

Towel used to be my work towel till they sorted the free, fresh towels
Flask hasn't been used much (have a few already)
Fluffy dice were in my car for a couple of years till I sold it
Bottle gets used regularly, often by my daughter as her water-by-the-bed bottle

Re: Do you use your Bear Bones merchandise?
Towel has been brilliant - the fluffy dice (now thankfully devoid of its "fragrance") hangs in my sons bedroom, I have 2 x thermal mugs, one in Norway (in front of me now) and another in the car at home, again brilliant bits of kit. All other items sadly lost or used to destruction.
I must say, its nice to receive useful, practical items, rather than some plastic tat or yet another mug...

A "wee towel"? I could do with one of those. I'm getting to that age.

Still got a few of the suppositories left from 2016. Been decent tbf.
Re: Do you use your Bear Bones merchandise?
I've used my mug every week day since this year's winter event. Its great. Stops my coffee spilling on the long trek back from the kitchen at work. Though the bearbones branding has washed off :(
Also have my Blackburn seat bag I won on the raffle a few years ago that has been on every bikepacking ride since.
