strap a load of 2L pop bottles to it on its 1st outing. It should float. We use to do it while lake jumping old BMX bikes :Ds8tannorm wrote:Ye of little faith ... but saying that, how long do you reckon an Inbred'll float for?Don't know if I want to try one but I'd like to come and watch captain calamity on his maiden voyage

Given they're made of pig iron (whilst grond bikes in general, riding lighter, etc etc, blah, blah blah) I reckon all of a nanosecondbut saying that, how long do you reckon an Inbred'll float for?
Please ensure there's video

If I'm invited to the Titanic's launch, I WILL bring the video camera, as well as a rubber ring to rescue the captain.

Stu,
Do you have a copy of Roman Dials book?
If you search it on Zinio you can get it for free when you sign up
saves paying £35 for a hard copy. Its not ideal to view online, but...

1st outing on the Avon. Water was high with some big hydraulics.
Very happy with performance, usability and packed size. 4 piece paddle is a bit of a struggle though.
spraydeck is a must for anyone considering one.
some blurb on my Tuesday Evening Adventure (TEA) here: http://siroccoverland.com/2012/06/27/al ... me-out-uk/
No bikes yet! once I sort out a secure arrangement I may well try it out. Only problems are portage around weirs. Everything is in deep water with steps similar to scale. Doing it with a bike will be a mission. Needs a shallow put in really.

Looks very cool!
What's the deal with packafting? Is any stretch of water fair game?

Water access is a minefield, Scotland is fine but their access rights are so much better. I believe the river is the property of the land owner, and therefore private. Add in fishing rights and the issue just gets crap! Off course you need to get caught the British Canoe Union has the basics hereDan_K wrote:Looks very cool!

Membership gives you a license for the canals, although nobody has ever stopped me on the Grand Union.
