No bikepacking content. But impressive nonetheless.
Of course, we'd all ride like this if our bikes were not laden

Re: Water Cycle by Chris Akrigg
Nice one. I wonder if he got permission from the owners of Hardraw Scar to ride there or just nipped in and did it early doors?

I did wonder if he was going to gap that last bit.

Pretty sure that was all shot in Wales?htrider wrote:Nice one. I wonder if he got permission from the owners of Hardraw Scar to ride there or just nipped in and did it early doors?

Nice film though - the storyline was subtle

Re: Water Cycle by Chris Akrigg
It looked like Hardraw scar, I even recognized one of the boulders in the water.... Is there a big single drop waterfall in Wales? The waterfall was Henrhyd Falls.
Movie trivia - that location was also used as the exit for the Bat Cave in the Batman films.

Re: Water Cycle by Chris Akrigg
The first part was filmed at Llyn Fan Fach, pretty sure he didn't get permission to ride downthat gully, and definitely didn't to ride over the dam and fishery
Re: Water Cycle by Chris Akrigg
I was about to watch it again to check, but the video has been pulled / set to private...Pyro wrote:< kayaker geek > Not sure it is, I think it's Sgwd yr Eira on the Hepste.... < / kayaker geek >Ian wrote:The waterfall was Henrhyd Falls.
Chris had a little swear on Facebook, so I guess a) he's not happy and b) it's out of his control...
Sgwd yr Eira is much wider than Henrhyd, though I confess I didn't know you could get round the back of Henrhyd (whereas you can at Sgwd yr Eira)...
Re: Water Cycle by Chris Akrigg
Cheers, Ben.
Could be Sgwd yr Eira, just with a lower flow than I've experienced myself. Also more consistent with the windblow sequence, as the waterfall in in the middle of a large forest.

I did enjoy that. Impressive riding as usual and nicely put together I thought.
Can't say I got the story though. Beyond me I guess

So...the video has been pulled down on nearly all sources. Appears riding cheeky trails in Wales then putting it all over the web is not appreciated...oops.
Re: Water Cycle by Chris Akrigg
Was that the reason it was pulled from Vimeo?GregMay wrote:So...the video has been pulled down on nearly all sources. Appears riding cheeky trails in Wales then putting it all over the web is not appreciated...oops.
It's still up on YouTube, but I suppose that's more of a reflection of Google's policies than anyone's specific objection to the content....
Re: Water Cycle by Chris Akrigg
It's no longer on his You Tube Ian, only that crap quality link I posted the other day.
Re: Water Cycle by Chris Akrigg
Interesting, I have been having a social media debate about Chris Smith trespassing in North Wales, on Parys Mountain and in Dinorwic Quarries.
