Cheapo stove arrives!
Oooh lovely ... it looks like it has all the makings of a bomb
And if it does take on the appearance of a bomb

WWIBD!

Casually pick it up and place it in the middle of a group of people while calmly defusing said bomb instead of heading outside

The Yodal van turned up this morning with that "bargain bag of the year", the Force10 catalyst 400. Really impressed with the build and loft for a bag costing £139.

Looking over it makes me realise why I've suffered in my previous bag all this time. Although lighter, it was sewn through and didn't seal up around my head very well. The Force10 has baffles and a double sinch which when tightened really keeps the heat in. And it's got potential for a little over stuffing if necessary.

Today I got one of those Paul Components stem cap light mounts and, separately, a note saying I've got a customs charge to pay...

Actually arrived a little while back now… and has seen it's first outing. Rab Ascent 700 sleeping bag, kept me nice a toasty camping in the negatives weekend gone.

I ordered some Togs and have ended up with an £11 import charge - £8 of which is a handling fee. It's almost as much as the Togs themselves!

It must be a week for customs-related issues...my bike is stuck @ Stansted in customs for the past 18 hours...so much for FedEx being speedy and reliable.

Sorry, I worded that badly. The light mount came from SJS. The customs thing is for something I ordered from the States, for Rovaniemi.

Also, in the Posties Not Quite Been news, I got a TNT notification from Shand that my wheels are in their way

.... It's like Christmas here :-bd

Wheels have arrived, along with a Revo.
Rear is 35mm carbon rim on a Chris King SS hub. 969g
Front is 35mm carbon on an SP PD8X. 1073g.

All expertly built by Fraser at Shand Cycles.

The King hub is a thing of beauty in every respect, right down to the wheel bolts. Granted, it's expensive, but it tips Hope stuff into a cocked hat...

Also got a cheap deal on Joystick and a piggy back battery for Rovaniemi, and a wearable camelbak gillet (not the White vest posted in the other thread, but the black zip-fronted one) now I've paid the customs on it. As a speculative purchase, it seems quite good, and I thankfully bought the right size.

No more sphincter-clenching descents hoping I stop in time. Kadey Cadex goes back to being a pampered dry-weather bike. Happy days.

2013 Superfly AL Elite with a few changes here 'n there - 1x10 XT drive train, E13 front ring/chain guide. Some carbon and Ti bits. Weighs in pretty close to my Cadex.

It's a shame that you've already snapped the frame before its been used...

It's a lovely frame, looks very understated. Have a road bike in a similar colour and it gets plenty of comments
