Easter ... who's doing what?

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Anyone got anything good planned for next weekend? There's lots I could (and possibly) should be doing but the motivation stores are a little low, I'm hoping hearing about other peoples plans might spur me on to greatness

Was going to be doing the Cairngorm loop....

Plans have now changed due to knee injury turning out to be a lot worse than I first thought...

Shall now be doing MSc coursework and a bit of car and bike maintenance instead.

Gutted.

http://holylandmtbchallenge.com/ This! We'll actually be near Jerusalem a few days after Easter. Excited and would like to be full-on touring in many ways.

The mother in law will be around so I'll be out.

If my new bike is ready for me to collect it on Wednesday, photo taken today

And if my new bivi tent arrives in time I will have to go out and test them won't I?

The wifey is now 'full term', so during right and waiting for her to pop

Might get a cheeky, short road ride in over the next week or so, just going to keep it local

Getting out early this week but home at Easter to see other half. Might pop down to Lutterworth to see some 'birds' road racing.

If all goes to plan and the Mother In Law does come and stop for the weekend, I'll try and get a bivi ride in from home to Llandelga, bivi in the forest and breakfast at the trail centre before riding home, either Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun

Off to Cornwall to take advantage of a mate's hospitality (he's lending us his mother's house). Family is coming along so I will spend three days earning enough brownie points to warrant a quick night out somewhere along the coast.
I'm just going outside ...

Won't be doing much really. Nursing a dodgy knee since a few days after the WC2C. Shame as the weather looks good and I have the week off work.
It means I can spend some time with the girl friend though which considering how much riding I have done this year is probably in order. :???:

jameso, that looks like a really interesting trip! Very tempted to try something of that distance in 2015 as a dry run (and it looks very dry...) for the Tour Divide 2016: would love to know how you get on.
