I thought I mentioned it's hillier than folks expect. Certainly needed to recalibrate my expectations for riding.... hard to do anything over 10 miles that doesn't involve 1000' of climbing.

I have several .... bike carriers and roofbars

I tried locally but nobody had the right key number. We lost the t bolts for one of the carriers, so had to fit it to the roof with other means (Duck tape and cable ties) and put it's bike in the car with us. (Not easy in a loaded mini). Bolts arrive the next day for me to realise I had locked it in the closed position and not brought the key with it. That meant another very squashed journey home!
