Fat Fighters '22 - (The year of victory edition!)
After just posting in the '21 thread I felt motivated to kick-start the next edition of this long-running helpfully motivational group therapy chat!
So who's in???
Likely some familiar faces and maybe a few new ones too!
Same format as always...
Weigh-in once a week, post it here along with any progress, issues and general weight/health related banter.
Let's keep it friendly, supportive and non-judgey and we'll all have a lovely time.
We've got a week to express interest, have a think about what we've done and how we want to behave going forwards etc...
I'm starting a nice long stint of zero-booze today but will hold off posting any numbers until it's actually "22.
Starting this thread has been the first thing I've done that's felt positive all day* - yay!!!
(*I am SOOO hungover!)
See you soon.....

I'm OUT, as in 'let it all hang out and laid bare’.

I suppose that really means l'm IN.
But Eat what I want until friday ...
But the kids and outlaws have scoffed so little left... .

Count me in please. Lost my way a bit last year after a few curveballs, I am looking forward to trying again.

Yes please. I’m probably 10-12kg above where I’d like to be. I’m planning some looong rides this year so need all the help I can get.

Thanks Tony.
My first time doing this…. Hit 41 this year and am ending the year the heaviest I have ever been at 83kg. I’m now in the possession of a turbo so this will provide me with some good motivation to use it!

I'm in... not exactly sure what to do.
I'm aiming for 75kg, I started my LCHF diet (on n off) at 91.4kg, today I'm 89.5kg. Worth noting I'm not looking to lose weight per se, but lose fat and build some muscle, but apparently should still weigh 75kg, given my height... who knows!?

I weighed myself recently and was less overweight than I thought. While I'd like to lose a little, I'm also keen to (re)build some upper body muscle so I'm not sure how that would pan out overall. I might consider some body measurement (waist in particular) and target that.
Re: Fat Fighters '22 - (The year of victory edition!)
my aerobic capacity has been halved recently, so obviously my bike riding has been seriously affected. but i can manage a steady 3 or 4 mile walk.
will this do for aerobic exercise ? or is there anything else i can do to aid weight loss ?
the thought of just dieting with minimal exercise fills me with dread.

Re: Fat Fighters '22 - (The year of victory edition!)
I know it's not 2022 until tomorrow, but I figured it would be good if my first weigh in off 2022 was a loss ( he hopes!). So starting weight:
31/12/21:. 113.9kg
Not good but atleast I'm starting 2022 around 7kg less than I started 2021

Count me in.
Managed to shed a few kilos, last year, but seem to have stabilised, so need to focus on the next 5 or 6 kilos.

Re: Fat Fighters '22 - (The year of victory edition!)
Morning!!!
I assume everyone is feeling spritely and chipper this fine January morning?
Right, let's get at it.....
(25-12-21 - 125.1kg)
01-01-22 - 121.2kg
Down almost 4kg since Christmas Day thanks mostly to zero booze - I'll take that for a kick-start to '22!
I'm very much looking forward to getting out there and riding my bike in fun places, being sensible with food, laying off the booze and then I'm sure I'll be down to my target weight of 95kg in no time - simples!!!

Re: Fat Fighters '22 - (The year of victory edition!)
Target 113.9kg down to 90kg for me. 85kg would be ace but unlikely without risking intervention
Re: Fat Fighters '22 - (The year of victory edition!)
I'm in as well
Goal of 85kg or less, will have to get on the scales tomorrow when I'm home.
Hoping for a good year at getting fit unlike last year.

01.01.22 - 86.7kg
Target of 75kg at an average weight loss of 1kg/week. Call it 15 weeks to include a reasonable margin of error…. So racing weight by mid April then
