I'm looking for a French route to ride this summer:
- All in France (COVID reasons)
- Mostly offroad, mountain biking type route
- 200km upwards (happy to knit several routes together)
- Biased towards Southern France, as I've explored the North more already
Suitable candidates so far are:
- Grand Traversee du Massif Central, 1500k, S: lots of info online
- Grande Traversee L'Alpes, 300k, SE: https://bikepacking.com/routes/grande-t ... -provence/
- Trans Verdon, 200k, SE [similar to previous]: https://bikepacking.com/routes/trans-verdon-france/
- Grenoble Sisteron Dignes, 375k, SE: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34178327
- 104 Chemins du Soleil route, 800k, SE: https://mtb.waymarkedtrails.org/#route? ... 236!6.0943 (tiny info commet here)
- Grande Traversée de la Méditerranée Française, 650k, S Coast: https://www.visugpx.com/1363858001
Anyone have any experience riding these?
The last three especially have almost no info online.
P.S. Good maps of French trails available through IGN, accessible for free with GPX editor on https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/draw/ - on the drop down menu on top right click and scroll to "fr: Topo (IGN)"

Re: French Offroad Bikepacking Routes >200km
Just after posting this I've discovered http://www.vttrack.fr/# which is an absolute goldmine.
It has graded routes "sentiers" for so many segments of MTB riding all through the country.
