Re: The post man's been ...
The postman has just delivered a medium Outdry jacket which is a perfect size for me with an insulated coat underneath so thank you for all the advice over in the Wet gear thread . I have bought it for longer trips in case it rains for consecutive days and Winter events .

We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Re: The post man's been ...
I was the postman. The jacket needed rewaxing and the fireStarter thingy seems it's on its last legs. Plus baby (AbdurRahman 6) wanted a spork type thing.
Occured to me on the way back that maybe I've gone against my attempt to stay away from China produce (other opinions may vary) might have been corrupted.
I knew the Wildo was/is Made in Sweden but wasn't sure about the NikWax.
Got home and checked. It's made locally somewhere in GB. Happy with that...

Looks like they're testing might have concluded this area to be a weak point as they interface for the hanger to go on is screwless.Nice frame Shaf, is it the angle of the photos or is it missing a rear derailleur hanger?
I'm glad your sorted,
don't forget to get a spare hanger... at some point...
I'll never be keep up now...
I hope you think you know, what I might of exactly meant.

A set of Smart plugs.
I'm having fun setting them up to automate some functions in the house.
And a tri-suit. No fun involved.

Some frame protection tape from Paragon Tapes, and a squeegee. So there go any plans I might have to ride in the next couple of days - I shall instead be covering my frame (and probably the floor) in scraps of paper and masking tape.

Postie (well Hermes) delivered a nice Exposure Toro Mk13 (29% off Chainreaction) and a fresh box of beers from Beer52

Longest day is less than 3 weeks away? Need to start preparing for winter now as it will be here in no time
Postie delivered a Wildcat tapered dry bag. My existing one seems to leak... but after 4 years and 1000s of miles I can't complain. I think the 2018 HT550 probably didn't do it much good, with stuff bouncing about for mile after mile and rubbing on the inside. The irony is that on the 2018 event dry bags weren't needed as it was 20 to 25 degrees and didn't rain

Not the postie, but a bit of a 20 mile detour from site back to base via those very nice people Shona, Olive and Rich at Keep Peddling in Manchester.
