BB300

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

As you may know, entries for the BB200 open on July 1st. However, entries for the BB300 won't be available directly from the website. Why? Mainly because some people have difficulty getting their name right, so asking them to choose which event they'd like to enter and selecting the correct answer, may prove too much.

Instead, anyone wishing to ride the BB300 should email me this week stuart@bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk and request an entry link - from there you'll be able to enter in the normal way.

Can I just remind everyone that BB300 places are only available to those who already have a BLACK BB200 badge. Hopefully, no one will feel that this is some form of elitism, it's just a sensible precaution which may safeguard some people from themselves. If you don't have the required black badge, please don't ask if I'll make an exception. I'll probably be quite polite the first couple of times ... but after that

There you go, if you can email sooner rather than later, it'd be much appreciated.

I'm in.

Hoping for the off road equivalent of the TINAT 400 last week, as in relentless but ridable. :-bd

Think I might book Monday off work and plan for a bit of kip before the drive back to Dorset.

So is the email a full commitment to do the 300 or is dropping back to the 200 an option on the day should you not feel up to it (or are scared and want your mummy  )? I probably won't know my level of fitness for another couple of months so while I'd like to keep my options open equally I wouldn't want to take up a "place" that someone else who might be fully fit could take.

Not that I'm hedging my bets or anything

Tricky Bob ... especially as you'll only receive one gpx file  Also, while the 300 won't be a completely different route, it won't simply be an additional 'add-on' to the 200 either.

Will the route pass any cows?

Sorry Karl, I couldn't stop myself. How's the leg now? Hopefully better than when I last saw it.

I know where my fitness is at. No email from me.

If I can get a black badge on the 200 this year it will be a miracle.

I saw a bunch of the most chilled cows you've ever seen in Italy. Was legit relaxing.

If you receive a BB300 entry from me, please consider that my email account must have been hacked!

I think the 200 will be plenty enough for me.
