Cheers and well done guys
...Getting frustrated with lack of loss...
Each to their own I know, and at the risk of sounding like a broken record, cutting out the carbs while increasing fat and ensuring sufficient protein is a winner. If you're not convinced check out Sam Feltham, Dr Jason Fung, Tim Noakes, Volek and Finney and many more authorities on it. Loads of online resources too, but basically eat meat & fish, eggs, butter, cheese, cream and leafy veg. If vegan the options are more limited with coconut stuff, olives and olive oil, avocados, nuts being staples, but veggies can get the, butter eggs, cream and cheese too. It's working for me and I'm eating around 2300cal a day.
Controlling hormones through diet are the way, exercise helps but it's not the key.
A bit of intermittent fasting doesn't go a miss too, I usually go 6pm until 9am without food.

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
I think my scales will be shouting 'no coach parties' when I get on them tomorrow.
Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
Oh dear....
Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
222lb today, down 38lb overall, but I feel a large deposit due so I might re-weigh later
Gratuitous turbo selfie the other night....
Feeling good, but I don't think I'll ever be a racing snake!

126.5 this morming, a 0.6kg (1.3lbs) drop, good to see the scales moving. Made a few changes and I had the will power to avoid all the cake customers have brought into the workshop this week.

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
Need to get a grip with my crappy diet - might go back to using MyFitnessPal; it was such a balls-ache entering the data each time I had something to eat, it was often easier to just not have a snack!
Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
I use MFP , yeh it's a chew on at first but then most people are mainly eating the same foods repeated so its all stored in the system. After 3 months of it its pretty much second nature
Not snacking means only having to do it 3 times a day

Remembered this week...dropped to 16st 9, back in the right direction
Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
I haven't quit... but I've been way too busy to measure / exercise. I'm fully expecting an increase of 4kg when I do though. :(
Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
OK, got everyone.
If you're struggling to get readings for whatever reason just post them when you can and I'll add them to the nearest Friday weigh-in.

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
112Kg bit late, after rugby tour to Rome, to be expected. Not surprisingly, stacks of carbs but no pasta. Worth it though start again tomorrow ( bit of a recurring thing line that)

At one point in the month since I last stepped on my scales I stood on some in a friends house and topped out at over 113kg as we'd been entertaining different groups of friends for a few weeks in a row and so my eating/drinking excesses weren't even being monitored nevermind minimised!
But now back on the straight(ish) and narrow(ish) so things should start moving in the right direction with a little more gusto.
I'll also try and post most frequently but life has habit of getting in the way of the things I want to prioritise.
Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
That must have been a pleasant surprise
