What do you think?
Is it stable?
Does it twist about the bars?
Anyone have the Salsa EXP handlebar cradle?

Re: Anyone have the Salsa EXP handlebar cradle?
I’ve got one. I’ve only used it twice, but it is very stable and solid. One advantage is that it holds everythung clear of the headtube, so no rubbing etc. It is significantly heavier than something like a wildcat harness though.
Re: Anyone have the Salsa EXP handlebar cradle?
I picked one up last month for my Mukluk. It's fitted to Salsa Rustler carbon bars and is as mje25 says, very stable and solid
If anything, at least for a SS setup the frame mount arms are almost too long. As they are aluminium though I've seen talk of machining them down to suit your setup
I rode for the first time loaded in Austria on hills and snow. I also had anything cages on the forks with bags attached. Frontend handling was as expected markedly different. Certainly kit distribution is important. I had winter sleeping bag, sleep mat and tent poles in the bar bag. Cooking equipment and tent in the forks bags. Didn't crash or fall off, so wasn't that bad
Here are some pictures on it installed

thanks guys.
if i may ask, would one of you kindly take two measurements?
inside gap between the two handlebar arms, and
outside distance of the two handlebar bars.
thanks.

Re: Anyone have the Salsa EXP handlebar cradle?
60mm between the arms and they are 10mm thick (80mm outside distance). Pictures against a ruler of the various measurements here https://www.flickr.com/gp/150583371@N02/h9zAZ6Asposium wrote:thanks guys.
