Sealskinz don't work with touchscreen
I bought a pair of Sealskinz winter cycling gloves the other day. I am very pleased with them, other than that they don't operate the touchscreen on my MotoG4. They have a rubbery textured bit on the tips of the middle, index fingers and thumb but they do nothing on my phone.
Anyone else have this problem? It's a major pain as I use my phone for navigation and have to keep taking the glove off to adjust the map as we move. Is there a clever trick I can use instead?
Its the same ones as these:

Sew in some conductive thread
Re: Sealskinz don't work with touchscreen
Thanks. Never heard of that.

That makes a pleasant change: from my considerable experience, Sealskinz don't work with water.

I guess I haven't worn them out in a deluge yet. They were cheap and are warm and comfortable, which would do me if I could sort the above issue. Dry would be a nice bonus.

I found them far too sweaty for cycling, they make excellent gardening gloves though.padonbike wrote:That makes a pleasant change: from my considerable experience, Sealskinz don't work with water.

Learn to type with your nose.
You think I'm joking, but I'm not.

Just tried this as an experiment. It hurt my eyes.Chew wrote:Learn to type with your nose.

Not because I bashed them against the screen I must add.

Or just buy a touchscreen stylus. Small, cheap, easy
Re: Sealskinz don't work with touchscreen
Buy the stylus, snap it in half and sow it on to one of the glove’s fingers. I have seen gloves with a mini stylus built in, no idea if they are any good or not.benp1 wrote:Or just buy a touchscreen stylus. Small, cheap, easy
I use windsurfing gloves that have the palm area missing. You can flip a finger out in half a sec and are totally waterproof and warm. Like these ones https://www.thesupco.co.uk/supwear/ion- ... 3EQAvD_BwE

I like that idea. Might give that a go.

I'm with chew, it's what noses were made for, looks extra special when you have to use it to do the unlock pattern
