Best bike for a grand.

I'm sure this is on here somewhere, can't find it. Boyfriend wants 27.5 hard tail steel bike for off road n trips.

He likes On One Deedar n lots of others. Would appreciate recommended faves etc. Thanks.

Looking at the angles and description, it probably isn't the most suited to long days - more a winch up and plummet down bicycle.

I assume he doesn't want a rigid bike?

I like this but it's not steel.

Going back to steel - the On-One 4560B in NX1 guise is dead on a grand. Looks a decent spec' and should be better suited to long days than the Dee Dar.
