I was just about to post same thing!
Got a standard Hunka but having broad shoulders I have to sleep with arms outside of bag. Does seem to be discontinued.
Is the RAB storm wide at the mouth?

Re: Revo Full Power Speed
Love the "Mythbusters" level of experimentation and geekery. So would you recommend the K-Lite over the Revo? I've just had my old Fargo powdercoated and in process of being re-built, always just used a Maxx-D but no have a dynamo wheel built up, and was waiting a while to see if the much ...

Just the pictures on that article are stunning and make you want to do it. I'm pre-registered for the French Divide race, but if i'm not selected, then i'd maybe up for this.

Re: 2017 French Divide pre-registration open
I must admit that's why i have put myself through 8000 miles of commuting this year, i knew that after a point, i would get no fitter and i would just become good at trotting out same route and same miles, but it is the mental side of getting out at 5am in all weathers day in day out to build that s...

Re: 2017 French Divide pre-registration open
I see 123 have signed up so far, including Stu Rider and Jason Miles. I've done a number of distance road events up to 310 miles in a day and a couple of longer distance MTB events like Charlie's 100 mile Gravel Dash, plus 8000 miles in the legs this year mostly commuting, but any tips will always b...

Re: 2017 French Divide pre-registration open
I've pre-registered for this, looking at the cost, are the four checkpoints not manned? wondered if that is where some of the cost goes?
Wanted something that wouldn't cost the earth and had planned to ride the 1000 miles St Malo to Nice road route, but this ticks all the boxes if i get a place.

Re: Salsa Cowchipper??
What are the Ginetic/ Woodchippers like riding on the hoods. I do a fair chunk of my 200 mile a week on Fargo as roads are so bad where i live so it has standard road bars at present, and would still spend a lot of time on hoods? Worried that i may find being in drops better, but lose comfort on hoo...

Re: Salsa Cowchipper??
Anyone seen the new Alpkit bike components including these?

A lot more reasonably priced. I've just bought a second Fargo and the price of trying Salsa bars at £75 a pop puts me off and not found any 2nd hand on ebay.

Then again though, what every bike packer needs is the right bag for the job, thinking of this one for light snacks on the trail??

For me, always have SDG Bel Air on the MTB's, on cross or road bike, always Fizik Aliante, both just seem to work for me.

Balloon bed - was it just me then??
I decided to purchase one of the balloon beds, mostly out of curiousity and also to see if it was a practical (and cheap) alternative to a "real" air mattress. Tested it with a bivvy out on the sand dunes overlooking Wells on the Norfolk Coast, so on top of sand and where i had checked for...

Re: New here- any fellow East Anglians??
I live in Great Dunham, about 8 miles west of Swaffham, but work in Norwich, experience so far since moving here has been a bit of Thetford, Bacton Woods and riding up Peddars Way to the coast and doing a bit of bivvying in the trees behind the sand dunes near Holkham and chilling out on the beach. ...

FS - MSR Dragonfly stove
Had this for about 3 years, cost me £130 new and not used it for the last 2 years, either tend to use large gas stove when camping with family or meths/ small gas stove when bivvying/ bike packing. Stove, fuel bottle, spare seal kit (unopened) and bag - £35 posted. pauljwhitlock@gmail.com (Can you e...

New here- any fellow East Anglians??
Hi all, new to forum and having recently moved riding on North Downs and Swinlet way to Norfolk, are there any fellow riders from East Anglia on here?
