Re: Surly Bridge Club
Thanks all, I know for what they are Surly is very expensive, but i know they fit me well, plus my old Troll and a friend Straggler not lacking in quality, the Genesis Longitude, I had one, it lasted about two months before I got rid of it, the angles were too slack for me. Right now I am looking at...

Surly Bridge Club
Hi all, just wondering if anyone has used one or any thoughts on the Surly Bridge Club? I like the idea it will accept 3 different wheel sizes and has ALL the fittings I will ever need, I do have reservations about the Gnot Boost system. I miss my old Troll and think this will be an ideal replacemen...

French IGN maps
Hi all, I am slowly putting together a 2-3 day bivvy trip over to Brittany using a mix of gravel roads and tarmac, I see France has their version of OS maps, IGN. Does anyone have any experience using them with regards to detail and quality?

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
126.5 this morming, a 0.6kg (1.3lbs) drop, good to see the scales moving. Made a few changes and I had the will power to avoid all the cake customers have brought into the workshop this week.

Blackburn Outpost Bar bag
Hey all, I am contemplating using the Outpost bar roll from Blackburn but using a larger 14L to 20L Alpkit bat bag instead of the standard one, has anyone managed to fit a larger dry bag in the harness without too much fettling?

Re: Pipedream sleeping bag anyone?
I have both the Pipedream 200 and 600, for winter and summer use, good pack size, keeps me nice and warm, I layer up with a liner if needed. Love mine.

Re: Bugger off?
In that case, I would head off from base camp here in Somerset and make my way up to Bangor and back again, that or the North coast of Scotland

Re: Bugger off?
Hmmm, head across to Minehead, offroad down to Plymouth, then ferry to Roscoff and head down the coast to Santander than home again on the ferry, train or cycle back the last part depending on time/energy levels

Re: 26 Plus size - any good?
The new gen 2 Troll can take up to 26x3.0 now which opens up possibilities, both the Dirtwizard and Knard are available in 3.0 versions, WTB also do the Ranger in 2.8 and 3.0 versions.

FS - Blackburn outpost cages/ Alpkit stemcell
Clearing out my excess kit Blackburn Outpost Cages with straps, excellent condition, only used twice, drilled to fit on three bolt fork mounts. £30 the pair posted Can include 2x 5L Alpkit Airlok Xtra bags in Kelp for £15 these fit the cages pretty well https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4705/4054965766...

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
A slight gain this week, probably gas to 127.3. I am going to make a few changes to diet, to be honest I sorting my blood pressure has been more of a concern this past month, sorting one will help the other.

Re: 26 Plus size - any good?
I used 26plus a couple of years ago on my Surly Troll, I absolutely loved it. My Troll was the MK1 which could only take the 2.75 tires safely so I used the Surly Dirt Wizard 26x2.75 120tpi rubber, set at 15psi front and 16 rear mounted on tubed Sun Ringle MTX33 rims. The combo worked really well, o...

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
Sadly a slight rise for me, up to 127.2, I have not been able to touch the bike in 2 weeks now, off out tomorrow though. Upside, while ill I have been walking quite a lot and my clothes are better fitting now which is good, not all victories are on the scales.

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread
Still at 281.4lbs, I have been pretty ill for the past two weeks, struggling to clear a nasty flu bug, I have abandoned commuting this month, hoping I can recover to ride more in the next week.
