Re: Soooooo far OT - non / low alcohol beers
I tend to like the stronger, citrusy IPA and Pale Ales, and found any alcohol free ones i bought in supermarket or pub, were gopping. BUT, this is a really good IPA: https://drydrinker.com/product/big-drop-citra-four-hop-low-alcohol-gluten-free-pale-ale-0-5-6-12-x-330ml/ The whole Dry Drinker websit...

Got to agree with Middleburn Cranks, have mine with a Royce bottom bracket, done over 20,000 miles on them in 6 years and haven't had to touch the BB, just gone through 7 chain rings, this on a Singular Peregrine.

Re: Suggest some socks.. pls
I can only suggest the Defeet Woolie Boolie socks, usually cost about £15 a pair and mine have lasted nearly 10 years now, merino wool and decent warmth too.
States they are made of US Merino wool (so not much better politically!)

I have had a couple of Moon Nebula, brilliant lights with 3 different mounts, and easy to mount on seatstay with bags or to end of bag, and decent price.

Re: Hello and mat questions
I have had Exped and Thermarest mats, and still have a decent one for winter, but i bought a Lidl camping mat just before Torino-Nice when i couldn't get my fancy mat repaired following a puncture, and i have had it 3 years now, lent it to numerous friends that wanted to try bivvying etc and for £19...

Re: Help oh wise ones (tubeless issue)
When people see sealant escaping from around the valve, naturally you think that it is the valve causing the issue. But as rims are mostly hollow, the air can be escaping into the rim's void anywhere on the wheel and it then looks to escape at the valve. So best thing is to re-tape, make sure you do...

Local triathlete in the village where i live came to ask if i could sort out shifting on his new £8000 Specialized Shiv he had for 3 rides as the Di2 was misbehaving. Fixed it and off he went on a training ride, hear a knock on door 20 minutes later and he is stood there with the bike literally in 2...

Re: Living a meagre existence so you dont have to work ?
Today we were around Downham Market. Usual story, what looks promising on paper is not good when you're there. Estate agents being economical with the truth is the biggest problem. Edge of the Fens there, so edge of the wild west, worth coming towards Swaffham/ Fakenham/ Dereham way, house prices s...

Re: Living a meagre existence so you dont have to work ?
It rained all day yesterday, rather than waste the day looking out the window at the bird feeder I spent it on Rightmove. My house is sold and I was looking for retirement properties, I managed to come up with two. One is in Norfolk and we're going to see it this morning, this is the other. Can som...

Re: WTD: Rucksack for my boy
My old bergen any good to him, Bergahus Cyclops Roc? Original one with zip off side pockets that form smaller day pack?
Main pack is 70 litres and pockets add another 20, like this:

Re: Which 700c Gravel Clincher Tyres?
A lot of WTB tyres can be tight on the rims, but on plus side that is what means once mounted they tend to stay inflated fairly well (except Byways, they are the devils work with the worlds leakiest sidewalls!). Takes a decent amount of soapy water often to get them to "snap" on to the rim...

Expensive upgrade, but if using SRAM or Shimano drop bar set up, i cannot recommend Hope RX4 callipers enough, so much more modulation and 4 piston calliper. I'm fairly heavy and with a fully loaded bike i can easily cook Shimano brakes even when i am trying to stay off the brakes as much as possibl...

If you do believe the symptoms are from the vaccine, then log them here: https://coronavirus-yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/ As it helps with the research. Tricky one, i have a Type 1 diabetic daughter and a wife who is a consultant on a cancer ward, so i'd never have skipped the jabs as i feel it my civic ...

Thanks all. is spoke to GP was told to complete a "yellow card form" with MHRA to formally register issue, and GP is going to call back again in 10 days to see if no better.

Re: Very off topic - pins and needles following AZ jabs
I have called GP and await a call back from them. Just wondered if it something anyone else has suffered at all.. Always have had a bad reaction to vaccines, had to stop having flu jab as it would be laid up for 3-4 days after it.

Very off topic - pins and needles following AZ jabs
Sorry of this is a bit off topic. Had both AZ vaccine jabs, first end of March and second last tuesday. Felt very rough after both, after first 4-5 days of joint and muscle ache and vomited once. Then after 5-6 days started to get slight pins and needled sensations in feet and hands. Rode Badger Div...

I have the new Alpkit Aerobeam one man version, and i reckon you'd fit in their no issues. i am only 5'11" but have 48" chest, but there was a good foot of space above my head, i had all my bags from the bike above my head easily and there was still plenty of room either side of me also, r...
