Re: Highland Trail 2015

I'm glad you asked the question Dave as I'm been wondering for a few weeks. I ride rigid on my bikes (except by full sus) but Alan recommended a front fork. I rode rigid on the BB200 and it seemed to work well but multiday event is probably a completely different situation. Be nice to know other peo...

I should be up for this as long as I can shift me cold in time (looks like it's going).

I'd be interested if all things line up (date, cost, location etc).

Keep me updated. Might go and have a gander at some likely locations now :-)

Cheers

Re: Off road bikes are confusing

Yeah as Stu says. Pinnicle Ramin 1 is great value. I had to buy it because all our bikes got stolen a few weeks before the bb200 and needed something to ride. I'm planning on now using it on the htr550. Its a really efficient bike. Lightweight for the money and most importantly as a bikepacking bike...

FLV, depending which vehicle we take I may be able to help with the journey up. Not sure if we're making it a two week holiday yet so not sure about the return journey. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Winter bivy - northern edition.

Me and cat are snuggled in front of the TV after stuffing our faces :-) Great ride yesterday and really good food in the pub. Was heavy rain in the middle of the night but we survived :-)

Thanks very much to chew for a great ride, pub and bivy spot.

See everyone soon.
