Cheery as :-bd

It's been a great week for me, whole week off work, there seem to be a few of us with anniversaries and birthdays at the moment, so it's been pressies, lots and lots of treat food, a slate tastic trip up to Snowdonia with the zip line, quarry walk and lake swim, followed by some r and r at home, an aquathlon last night, now more r and r and still the weekend to look forward to

Mrs Bearlegged went to London for work yesterday, and came back with macaroni cheese pies.
It's sunny.

Sadly I'd not fit it int' barn Phil. The owner lives in the UK but the car resides in California ... with the rest of his collection

How could you not go? I'm sure there's plenty of good reasons but c'mon man, the States is an experience not to be missed IMO (you might have already been, apologies if so ).

Not for a long time Tim ... World Finals (drag racing) in Florida Nov '99 if I recall correctly.

I don't think I'd want to pootle around Wales with 5000hp on tap and those skinny tyres.

*for anyone interested, it's a heavily modified Roadster producing around 5000hp. It currently holds the class record but they're looking to break 350mph this year with it. For anyone not interested, sorry.
Phwoor!!

What an opportunity... Go for it...

That sh*t doesn't come knocking on your door every day.

A day of two halves:

A funeral of a friend who died last week of cancer.

We're off to Scotland for a week :-bd (or maybe a bit more)

Totally premature here but I hope I can be forgiven as both tomorrow and Friday are bank holidays ... Anyway, I've just been notified that project Death Trap has won 'Best Engineering' in the first round of the Backstreet Heroes custom awards and is therefor guaranteed a place in the final. It's even more surprising given that I hadn't really realised I'd entered anything but I get a trophy and everything

:-bd .

At the final, you could enter the shopper instead, I'll bet that would surprise them...

I reckon Friday is a state of mind, and your news makes it absolutely well-deserved.

To celebrate Fri'nesday, today I found some money behind the sofa and ordered a new TPU self bailer white water light weight packraft that can be converted to be used on flat water too.

Will remember that one :-bd

Another one John?! I need a better sofa  They look really good though. I know Emma's just bought one but I haven't seen it yet. Hope you get out on it over the weekend, should be some water around from this week's rain.

I'm the last person to get involved in any sort of royal nonsense, but Seamus here cheered me up, and might Stu too

My eldest boy (4 and a half) took up riding a pedal bike this week, and he's doing brilliantly! He's been on a balance bike since 2 and has just transitioned to a pedal bike with no stabilisers, and is already turning in the road well and using the brakes when needed. proud moment for me and a big milestone for him, he's super chuffed

Whenever I register someone for the forum, I have to type in a computer generated activation code - this morning it was TW4T. Cheered me up no end :-bd

I'm liking the look of that and would be enthusiastic to give one a go but I bet you regret selling your drysuit now 😉

You can have a go at Bala in Sept if our little meet up happens.
Ref the dry suit
No, I'm glad I did sell it.
After trying a bit better quality one I realised that mine was cheap for a reason.
It was only good when the air temps were below 5 degrees and it wasn't breathable as better ones and over 5 degrees it was like a boil in the bag sauna suit.
Next pocket money spend will be a range topping dry suit. But until then I'm only planning to padde WW in warmer temps with my wet suit, and flat waters in winter wrapped up well until I can afford the right dry suit for me
