Winter bivi/bothy/hammock gala 2012 (Wales)

Post by Taylor »

I know it's nearly 6 months away but the wife is trying to get me to commit to a date so she can book things like pantomimes/parental visits/christmas parties/etc.
Can I be the first to suggest Saturday 8th December?

Work always buggers up my plans nearer the time, but if this is open to all then I'm in. I'll bring the cheese and port.

Oh yes, open to all ... be aware that it seems to end up as a contest where the winner is the one carrying the most luxurious gear, so you'll be fine with the cheese and port ;)

If you want me to recommend some totally unrideable bridleway to use on your approach, just let me know ;)

It'll soon be here, so ...

1/ Do we require trees?

2/ Is Nant Yr Arian okay as a starting/finishing point for all?

3/ Noon meet up?

4/ I'll have a word with the nice folk at the Red Kite cafe and ask if cars can be left there. I'm hoping they won't object seeing as we'll most likely be spending a few quid there upon our return.

Trees would be good but not essential.
Nant yr Arian is fine, as is noon.

Sounds good to me. I may have to squeeze in a sneaky lap of the trail centre as that's one of my favourites.
