Just watched this really good investigation of Hipster Culture. Not much about the Hipster Cyclist, but an enlightening insight into into this lifestyle fad, which (as someone never 'on trend') I was naturally a bit cynical of. It all makes a bit more sense now, and fashion artefacts aside, perhaps there is a bit of hipster ideals in many of us.

Oh, I enjoyed that, I really did. Lovely insightful witty reportage.

As for exploring what the bicycle means to the hipster, can I refer the team to the most excellent blog http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.co.uk/ Ive been reading this since way back at the tail end of the dachshund of time. http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.co.uk/2009/ ... order.html

Very, very good ; including the word-of-the-week: "lumbosexual" (lum-BO-sex-u-al).
It surprised me the bloke on the receiving end of the comment didn't react, which suggests it's a common term around those parts :???:.

The bearded guy, Mr Lumbosexual didn't look to me as he'd had anything done during his beard management experience. Pretty good documentary and explained a lot.
