Minipips Tour de France.
Tom and I are back from a most excellent trip to France on the Alpkit tandem.
A similar distance to the TdF but with some off road, courtesy of part of the French Divide.
Here's a picture of our route including the UK prologue.
27 days riding and just over 2000 miles of riding.
Pictures and write up to come in due course.

Excellent stuff....you two are inspirational
Re: Minipips Tour de France.
Brilliant write up inspiring even. My favorite pastime is getting lost in France.
Is the FD an ITT event and is it free entry or require a fee?
Could find much information on their website.
Route downloads tres confusing but managed to piece it all together.

The FD is an event and there is an entry fee if you want to be an official race entrant. Is the FD an ITT event and is it free entry or require a fee?
We were riding it as an ITT though.

Brilliant ride and brilliant photos (and words).
Brings back lots of memories of both the French Divide and when I rode along pretty much the same section of the Velodyssey route in January 2015.

Good stuff! Hope I can do half what youse have done with my son.
BTW I have a picture of my saddle sore from my recent trip after I decided it would be best not to risk spoiling my new shorts and wore old, too loose, shorts. Was close to buying pantiliners to gaffe tape on lol!
You show me yours and.... JOKE!

The 1000 Kms we did of it were pretty easy technically. There was a guy who rode the whole thing on a CX bike with file treads. What's the FD route like?
The character of the route I would say was mellow rather than extreme. Hilly but not big mountains.
