Combined battery and Phone!

Post by giryan »

I noticed this, and it seems like the sort of thing that might be really useful for bike packing.

Last I went i was not only really paranoid about breaking my normal phone, but also kept it turned off 90% of the time because the battery life is terrible :)

Looks useful.

It's worth pointing out that it's only dual band so don't go buying one to take on the Tour Divide.

Where are you getting that info? Couldn't see anything on particular bands, only that it takes dual SIMs if needed.

Fourth line of the spec:
Network Support GSM 900/1800MHz
That's Europe/Asia and S. America I think, N. America is 850 I think. If anyone is more authoritative on this, feel free to correct me!

Ah, apologies. I was looking at it on mobile and that spec grid didn't show up.

Yeah - 850/1900 is the normal dual band for the US.
