How tall are you?

I'm 6'2" / 187cm with long legs and shorter upper body.

Been looking for a chassis to build up a gravel bike type thing and the Fargo could be perfect.

What's your thinking about that XL size for someone like me?

I'm 6'2" with 34" inside leg (relatively shorter torso) and it's comfortable for me with an inline post and 90mm stem. A Large would have been ok for me too but as I bought it for long-distance riding I went for the roomier XL. If I was riding just locally on singletrack the Large would have been fine. The Fargo is a bit of a funny one for sizing it seems. There is a thread on a forum somewhere that will give you all sorts of opinions and result in confusion. Sorry I can't be of any more use, the only way you'll know is to try one preferably on both singletrack and long distance to find out which is the best fit for both.

The El Mariachi Large I'm selling because I went by the Salsa sizing guide and should have been ok but it was immediately obvious that it was cramped for me with the stock 100mm long stem and a 12mm layback post. So I suppose I'm saying I find the Salsa sizing a tad small, others will say completely the opposite though!

Hmmmm....?

Sounds like it could be perfect as we're similarly sized and I want it for longer-distance lower-tech bikepacking trips.

There's no chance of getting any Salsa bikes to test ride as I'm nowhere near any dealers and won't be in the UK until October.

Ok, I need to have a think and I'll get back to you but I do like the idea of it.....

Cheers, Gairy.
