Anyone not doing the WRT thus weekend?

Thinking of making my third coffee of the morning and I may turn the heating up a little as it's rather chilly inside!

My wife and I were intending to do the Cairngorm Loop but had to pull out as I was working in the Far East until Friday afternoon so even if the group start hadn't been cancelled we'd have missed it. I've also got a strained Achilles tendon  so having to take it easy. Looking outside it's a little damp, might take the rubbish down to the bins.

Leisurely breakfast overlooking the garden.
Its supposed to be raining but actually quite sunny.
Might go down the gym later.

I went down the road to watch some lycra clad women and men race around Yorkshire yesterday,
I was surrounded by other "roadies" and was getting some envious looks when I pulled up an hour before the racers and proceeded to get out the storm kettle and get a lovely brew on. (they have enough room in their jersey tops to only hold their Strava apps!)

The ride home was interesting through hailstones but quickly warmed up after walking into a nice warm house, a hot shower and a coffee!

Operation recovery going well.
Had a wet rainy dog walk earlier, a fry up now I'm just about the varnish a 3rd internal door of the day.
It's still raining up here in the North West.
My WRT is go for a warmer August.

I'm warm and dry, lovely sunny morning here in Milton Keynes, might even have a BBQ! I've been out and done 20 miles on my MTB this morning, looking for new bridleways. They're drying out nicely now.

Well, I can't say it's exactly warm in BB land but it's certainly less wet than had been forecast :-bd I'm mainly spending my time brewing up and talking to rubbish to those returning.

Yes, warm and dry today, relaxing at home with the family. However, I was most definitely not warm finishing off the Brevet Cymru 400km audax in the early hours of this morning. Long last descent into chepstow was particularly character building.

I rode from Devon to back home today being chased by rain all the way, it was a great incentive to get on with it.

I was warm and a little damp kayaking on the Tryweryn and the Dee on Sat and Sun then warm and dry around a nice cosy camp fire and then in my tent both nights. I'm now warm and very damp sitting in a lovely hot bath at home. Might go for a ride on the CX tomorrow if I'm feeling enthusiastic.

Good to hear your recovery is going well :-bd In Ellesmere Port, so no doubt we've the same weather :|

Had a dry hour on the road bike and the got my fresh air fix through the TV, coastal walks with my dog and request stop stations with Paul Merton. Both of which proved to be worth watching, especially the Paul Merton one.

Back to selling bikes tomorrow, so at least I'll be dry
