Why not buy the Mount Skidmore one?
They are only pence and arrive in around 7 to 10 days from the other side of the world.
Great product and service

If that's all the time it takes I might just do that. I couldn't find any delivery info on their site, just expected it to take a lot longer. Cheers

How much you need to move your bosses ?
http://www.tritoncycles.co.uk/accessori ... 0wod6RcHOg give about 8-10 mm of adjustment.

Trail rat... thanks but I need to move quite a bit down to accommodate a MYOG half frame bag I've made.
Zippy...no, I'd just make an arse of it!

DMR do clamps that you can fit anywhere on a circular tube -
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dmr-hinged-clamps-1/ , I've got a pair for the bottle cage on my Solaris as I needed to move it down quite a way. There's also the Zefal Gizmo
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zefal-Gizmo-Uni ... B007VIDC7C I use this on the front of my seat post.

Elite do some plastic bottle cage mounts, they're about £3 from halfords, I've used these for bikepacking fine, including for some pretty rough routes. They've been rock solid
Exhibit A -
Otherwise I think the Shimano Di2 mount/adaptor things also work

Thanks for the suggestions, but can I ask now about adding a bottle cage mount to the underside of the down tube? I've tried the elite straps Ben mentions but I'm not 100% happy with them. Would the DMR clamps work well for this? What do you folks use?

The DMR clamps basically provide a movable boss so you can just mount a bottle cage in the same manner as you would with the in-built ones on your frame. They are just as secure.

If you take some Jubiliee clips - some old tube to protect your frame - and a Salsa Nickless Cage - you can run the clip through the back of the braces on the cage, which then tighten up, on the no slip surface of the tube, and you get a nice under DT bottle cage. I've used it when I want to get a bottle cage further back on certain frames.
