What type of bags are people using for homemade, just add boiling water meals?

Pour a store bags.

Thicker than usual and once full they stand up on their own.

Been looking into DIY bikepacking meals and did some research (read stuff on the internet that must be true!!) Anything that's BPA and Pthalate free seems to be the general advice as heating up plastic can cause some chemicals to leach, in very very small quantities, from the bag into the food. I've no idea how hazardous this actually is as opinions and search I stumbled across were contradictory; as most things are these days. Ziplok make some that are for the purpose of heating up but the aren't cheap.

Decided myself to go with a cheap home food vacuum sealing machine (JML) as most vacuum/sous vide bags are made for the purpose if boiling food whilst in vacuum. Vacuum bags are pretty cheap, you can cut them to size to suit your needs and stuff stays fresh in them for longer. Tested a couple by pouring hot water into dehydrated food and this worked really well.
