2016 Exped

Post by ZeroDarkBivi »

My project keeping me sane over this winter, with no options to get out riding, is planning a BP Exped for next summer. The options are so vast it's almost slightly overwhelming. I would really like to do a North American trip, but that is probably out of budget, so it needs to be closer to home. Scotland would be relatively easy logistically, but with I don't want to put off the team, most of whom are new to this, by days of awful weather. Southern or Eastern Europe has a strong appeal, being accessible, probably decent weather and full of interesting options for riding.

TMB was great this year; something a bit longer and less well known would be ideal.

Can anybody help focus my search from their own experiences of this region?

From what I've seen, Iceland would be amazing.
