That's right, the BB photo competition is coming back

• A thread will appear on Dec 1st.

• Submit your entry to the thread. (not this thread, wait until Dec 1st)

• The thread will close on Christmas eve and voting will begin.

• Whoever has the most votes by New Years eve will be declared the winner and receive a prize.

Rules.

Only 1 entry per person, additional entries will be deleted, although you're free to change you submission but just make sure you delete any others.

Only pictures taken this year can be submitted.

The subject matter is at your discretion. Colour or BW, it's all good.

Please keep submissions smaller than 1000px wide.

If you don't win, don't moan.

Do not attach pics here (wait until Dec 1st and put them on the new thread as mentioned up there ^. This thread is just a heads up to let you know what's happening, okay?) - I will delete them. Again, don't moan.

After visiting the WRC this morning and having 200+ photos not turn out, I don't think I'll be worrying the competition

Can we also do a film of the year too? Say anything under 5 minutes can be submitted? Never got into filming myself but do like the ones the pop up on here

I really decided against a film this year. I feel photographs give everyone (nearly) the opportunity to join in ... and I'm all about equal opportunity, me.

I found the use of the word "here" somewhat ambiguous in your original post, as in here (this thread), here (the other thread) or here (this forum).

I took the reference to "here" as to mean this forum rather than this thread. Had me confused (not hard in the general scheme of things )

I'm confused now. I have to take a photo this year, upload it to a thread that doesn't exist yet, wait for votes then not moan if I don't win. Where's the fun if I can't moan?

'Twas ever thus. Look at the recent Trail photo comp, the winner http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-h ... s-34724709 was average at best. If photography was formulaic then it would be much the poorer as every shot would be identical as it followed "the rules".

I suppose I better start picking now

Shot over 1k at a cross race last year. Got home and went to sleep because I couldn't face dealing with them that day
