Re: How to insert pictures
From Flickr is fairly easy
At the bottom right theres an arrow. Click on that and then select the BBCode
Just copy and paste that into a post

If you want to be fancy you just need the bit of code between
It just goes in a picture rather than a link
If you want to borrow/steal some other pic from the internet, just right click and 'copy image URL' and do the same as above, just making sure you insert it between

Just checking that first one wasn't a fluke......
1. Find the pic you want to display
2. Bottom right hand corner there is a arrow icon that curves to the right, click it
3. Choose BB Code from the "grab link" options
4. Select 640x480 so you don't post a lifesize image (JUST SAY NO to 1600 x 1200 forum pics!)
5. Paste the code exactly as it appears in the box (ignore the img tag options on the forum reply window)
6. Click the preview button to check it works....
7. Wait for the kudos to roll in as you show the world your adventures!

Re: How to insert pictures
Just copy all the code that is generated in the box at the bottom, it does the whole pic/user thing.
Re: How to insert pictures
Sorry I didn't see Chew's detailed instructions, I'll try that later...
(I'm posting a short account of my dabble with survival on the Northern Loop of the HT550 (not in the race... just me solo... again) having a very hard time last Thursday/Friday with ferocious wind and driving rain which nearly finished me off )

Never been able to do and couldn't find a bike related pic, so here's a flying ape.

Can we move this post into another section of the forum - like register/ feed the bear - and make it a sticky? Not the first time it's come up, but a difficult thing to search for nonetheless

Testing!
Re: How to insert pictures
it's not that I can and others can't, it's that I will and others won't.

For Flickr you need to follow the instructions further upbryanwadd wrote:Testing!

test test test
hmmm.. this is not working for me either. When I hit the bendy-arrow icon in flickr I get a this url https://www.flickr.com/photos/139041972 ... res/90k1m2 but none of the options suggested by steps 3 and 4 in jonnystorm's post above. I'd show you a screen shot but....
Any suggestions?

Re: How to insert pictures
Ahh, now I get it. If you select a photo from within the "camera roll", you get the bendy arrow option but not the BBcode. If instead you select the photo from within an album, the image becomes larger and the bendy arrow again appears. This time, however, the bbcode is present.

Re: How to insert pictures
Can I post pictures from Dropbox or create a link just to one folder without giving access to all my pictures?
Thanks

Re: How to insert pictures
Please note: It is possible to attach pictures directly but you'll be limited to 1 picture per post and no images larger than 1mb.
May the bridges you burn light your way
