A right old clearout...! >> now with pics and prices <<

Post by Ian »

With three bike builds looming large on the horizon, I need to have a much needed clearout of stuff. This evening I'm hoping to gather it all together and take pics, set prices and so forth, but in a rather unconventional fashion - a bit like a car boot sale - here's a list of things to pick over and consider in the meantime:

<UPDATE>

Pictures can all be found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/15512491@ ... 538468471/

Seeing as there's rather a lot of stuff here, I'll donate 2.5% of sales proceeds to Feed the Bear. If you beat me down on price, just spare a thought for the bear!
I've added some new stuff in there too.
Postage costs not included. Collection from Brecon welcome, which includes free tea and biscuits.
Payment by bank transfer or paypal gift is cool.

</UPDATE>

Forks

Manitou Tower Pro 29er, white, 80/100mm travel (set to 80mm), 1+1/8" straight steerer (200mm), 15mm thru' axle £195

Wheels

Chris King rear & Exposure/SP PD8 front 9mm QR disc hubs, black, 36h on carbon rims. 1105g front and 996g rear. Bought recently off slowupslowdown, but change of plans means they're now surplus. £380
Hope SS rear wheel, black, 32h, Stans Crest 29er Rim. Well used but perfectly functional, and smooth with newish bearings fitted. £80
Hope front wheel to match the above rear, 9mm QR and 15mm thru axle. £50 - sold
Paul WORD Single Speed Rear Hub, 32H, 135mm Bolt-on Axle, High Polish. Hub only (not built into a wheel). £60

Controls

Hope Eternity seatpost, black, 350mm, 27.2mm diameter. £35
Thomson XC4 stem, 100mm, black, 10 degree, 31.8mm clamp. £35
Hope XC stem, 90mm, black, 10 degree, 31.8mm clamp. £35
Hope bolted seat clamp, black, 31.6mm. £6
Hope QR seat clamp, black, 31.6mm. £10
Ragley Carnegie bars - alloy, black, marks on underside from bar harness. £10 - sold
Ragley Carnegie bars - carbon/ kevlar, yellow/ green colour, bar taped. Good all round condition, £30 - sold

Drivechain

Middleburn RS8 cranks, 175mm, square taper, silver. 1 pair thereof £50
Spiders: 5-arm CD (58/94mm BCD), 4-arm CD (68/104mm BCD), all black. £20 each.
Uno Ring, 36t, 3/32nds £30
An impressive assortment of square taper BB's, in most sizes to be listed later. Free with a pair of cranks. Tell me which one you need and I'll see if I have it.
White Industries Freewheel, plus fitting tool. New bearing fitted recently, plus I have a spare one too. 18t. £50 - sold

Camera Stuff (pics pending...)

Nikon D70S DSLR camera body, 6MP, excellent condition. £100
Nikon/ Nikkor 28-200mm VR lens to fit above body. Perfect condition, incl 1 skylight and 1 polarising filter. £220
Panasonic Lumix LX3 compact camera - high quality Leica optics and it takes a lovely picture. Two spare batteries, charger, case, 52mm filter adaptor. £100 - Sold

Retro

Something for the ladies: Santa Cruz Juliana Superlight, early 2000's, size medium, Progressive 5th Element Shock, 100mm travel, white, very good condition. One lady owner. £250.

Other Stuff

Garmin Forerunner 50. Watch, heart rate band and foot pod. Bought of Zippy as a bit of an impulse purchase and not put to use. Boxed with instructions, and new batteries. £30 - sold

That's it for now!

Thanks for looking :-bd

If they're the ones he bought on spec and hid under his desk he told you how much they were new :-bd

I remember the conversation

Also
Rockshox SID fork, 26" wheel size, 100mm travel, 9mm QR
How much are these? (bearing in mind 26er & 9mm QR is about as redundant a tech as you can get and nobody uses this anymore, nobody!)

OK, will sort out full details tonight

Not a huge amount. They need a service, but they do have an upgraded damper (one out of a World Cup fork, I believe). They have a remote lock-out too. In prime condition, £195 seems the going rate on eBay, but knock £75 off that to get them serviced.

Taylor bought those ones off me already. I tried to buy them back, but they'd already gone onto Zoe's bike and the consensus was she might notice :|

Nobody you say...? Top line fork these were. £500 back in the day. Did I say they're white. White is fashionable, don't you know.
Make me an offer - preferably a sensible one!

What's the length of the steerer?
Can't measure how long I need at the moment as I'm in the Alps until Sunday. (Only about 60 miles or so from the German plane crash)

185mm. Are you think of these for the DMO?

For everyone else, I've added prices, pics and a few other bits to the original advert

Off to take the photos of camera stuff now...

I was going off eBay prices to be honest. Feel free to make me an offer if you like.

Yes, the 4-arm spider will take three rings in total (as will the 5-arm for that matter. All threads for the inner ring are sound on all of them.
You'll probably be needing a 73mm shell for a Rooster. In that shell size, I only have a 118mm axle, if it helps.
