Ooh I'm a bit concerned now about John's tyres ... how do you decide when it's 'course' gravel or not and what happens if the degree of gravelyness alters while riding?

Dangle your fine gravel tyres from your seatpack?

A bumper crop yesterday:

- a Kask Mojito from Tredz (I’ve been looking out for a medium-sized bargain for ages).

- a 27.2 Brand-X dropper for the Stooge. This will hopefully play nicely with a Rockgeist Gondola I’ve just ordered from the States.

- some Uberbike disc pads.

Not the postman, but picked up some bike-related stuff while I was at Screwfix:
A pair of those Showa waterproof gloves people keep talking about
Two pairs of Bolle safety specs for keeping mud/rain/hail/midges out of my eyes, clear and orange, £7 each
A big can of brake cleaner

Also since 29er tubes from the bike shop having found that the valve lockring thread on my spare one is way too short for any normal rim, so I can't get my pump on and it's therefore useless

An Alpkit PoleStar for review. Just doing my best to convince Ruby that we both can't fit in it. :-bd

Kask (and Uber) are really good exp to deal with. Mate donated me a Kask recently and some of the gel pads behind the head were worn. Couldn't find any anywhere. Emailed KASK uk and they're sending me some out FOC. Made it Italy too and highly reviewed (AFAIK). I know what helmet I'll be getting when I next need to spend my money on one...

Hope it lasts you well and lots of joy brought :-bd

I have two Kasks now. The Rex was a bit of a punt and I've found its a really good fit for my head. Nicely finished etc. I recently bought a Mojito for #gradventouring and it's just as nice.

Yup, wore the Mojito for the first time today and it qualifies as the most comfortable helmet I’ve owned.

with this current spell of excellent summer weather, I can decide it I bought this seasons too late or 2 seasons too early. Gore phantom jkt in red, so I don't clash with Shaf! it the one with zip off raglan sleeves so they don't chaff under your arms. I genius..
knowing the fickle UK weather I wearing it the week after next...
it is very good nick and change from & £50, ebay.
Bargain thread already tip always but out of season
(or fashion- before it's retro chic-vintage)

After three months of searching and cancelled orders I finally got my grubby hands on a crank brothers dropbar remote for my dropper, it’s life changing :-bd I can now lower the saddle from the drops or hoods. My life is complete.

Two pairs of gloves from Sport Pursuit, one with fingers, one without. The latter a women's XL - they seem to fit and can't work out how they'd be different so 🤷‍♂️

I was told that Ladies Endura gloves are the same as the mens but marked one size larger (so a Medium Mens becomes a Large Ladies).

Sadly they're grey with a bit of yellow, I'd quite like some pink ones.

My goodies from Wildcat after winning the raffle top prize at last weekends WRT

They worked brilliantly today on my bike packrafting trip to meet up with Verena (from these parts) and her daughter for a paddle around Liverpool's Albert Dock

You're joking.... how do you do it JC?  .

The seat harness is very light in LS21 isn't it. You kicking your Acepac gear into touch now you have a lighter racier new squeeze?

A screech of tyres, door swung open and box placed by the door, before the Amazon delivery driver flew off to his next stop....

New Fuji XP140 waterproof camera to replace the one in Torquay harbour...

Whoops and yippee. Maybe a floating strap this time.

Cheers
