A lovely Thomson layback from the IoW / Sean.

What a shame I am an absolute donkey and have got my seatpost sizes confused  Fireline takes 31.6 whilst the post is 30.9 (as advertised, of course).

Somebody in this transaction is a right plonka, and it's not Sean    .

At least you don't need to source an inverse shim.

I've PM'd you about the post. This has highlighted that the Brand X one is actually offset so I'll have to put my hand up as a plonka as well, but luckily no one had bought it thinking it was straight

I've almost done this too.

In more seatpost frustration, the lovely carbon layback post I mentioned up the thread puts my saddle, it turns out, further forward than the straight post that was on there before. It must be the design of the mount, but I still can't quite get my head round it

A pair of Castelli Arenberg Gel 2 mitts and a Craft Cool Mesh Superlight Short Sleeve Base Layer. Both of which were worn out for this arvo's ride. The mitts appear to do the job of dulling the vibrations enough that I could feel all my fingers for the entire ride, which was nice.

Nah, you wouldn't substitute penicillin for me.... I just know what tickles my fancy (gerroff me Mrs Perrin, I know it's Friday night but not now, can't you see I'm busy).....

Escher - the bikepacker's artist. We're forever following the never-ending waterfall. Perpetual bikepacking. Ride, eat, sleep, repeat without end. Perpetual motion unattainable? Nah, we've got it nailed. Just remember to periodically add beer to compensate for evaporation during your perpetual ride.

Sorry to break up the art discussion, but the postie brought me a rather lovely, and massive, set of Blutos for the front of my fat bike. Always vaguely fancied a pair, put a watch on the ones at chainreaction with 60% off and bought them the minute I got an email saying that they're available.

Now to either buy a new front hub, or adapt my current QR one... Looks like it might be possible with some slightly strangely sized angular contact bearings, a very carefully machined to length centre spacer and some end caps. Lunch time projects, here we come!

Some lovely fancy 'Posh Plastic' Jones bar from Rufus748 - so a Geoff to Jones upgrade on the SS.

And an Ergon Saddle for the Full Sus.......though after fitting and a quick test this maybe an error!!

A Lezyne Pocket Drive HV - I've never had an issue with the valve unscrewing thing. Slightly more compact than my existing Ally Drive pump.

A Big Agnes synthetic sleeping bag half liner, eBay bargain. I plan to use it over my summer bag or quilt as an extra layer when the forecast is colder than I'd like... either that or I'll try it on its own as a sub 250g quilt and be even colder than I usually am

A desoldering station. This will change my life as Iโ€™ve become a sad retro computer collector.

Anyone got any ZX81s they donโ€™t want?
