DHL brought me 12 litres of eco ethanol....

...and the postman brought my my new Slow Watch - a 24 hour watch with only one finger. I havent worn a watch for years and normally worked on the principle that "a quarter to" or "half past" was near enough for my needs. Now I have a watch that meets with that mind-set.

I don't wear a watch Lu but I like yours. I've become pretty good a judging the time when required but I mostly don't know what day it is or even how old I am

Ha me too! Just did a trial burn in the kitchen and does seem a bit cleaner. Got enough to do me for years unless I drink it.

Cheers!

β€˜S funny you should say that - I did the same. The last time I bought meths I thought it would last years too, but I used such a lot messing about making/testing stoves, it just vanished. Interestingly, the first dozen cost around Β£35, this lot was nearer to Β£50. At least, I haven’t tried a new type of stove for ages, so this lot may actually last for years...

Oh my bladder constantly reminds me how old I am. β€œHave you been, Walter?” I’m at an age where I can’t pass a toilet and never trust a fart...

That's the problem  . Pour some in your stove, cook your food; pour some in a glass with a dash of orange juice and there's your pre-meal snifter :-bd

I stopped counting at 21. (I couldn't have cared less) that was over 30 years ago, I have just been reminded.
It will soon be forgotten...

...with a variety of stove fuel bottles from https://www.wesellbottles.co.uk/

Bought several each of 30ml, 50ml, and 100ml. Guess you could always use them as tiny hip flasks as well.

Doesn't meths eat away aluminum bottles? Hence why Trangia fuel bottles as plastic. If I'm wrong I'd gladly cover postage to have an ally bottle

Are they coated inside? I google search seems to show that alcohol will oxidize an uncoated aluminum bottle.

I wouldn't worry too much Sean. Modern petrol contains a lot of ethanol and the bottoms aren't falling out of aluminium petrol tanks at any great rate.

Looks like some form of regulator valve, perhaps for a gas stove?
