As part of my 'I'm getting old and I can ride stuff like this now' phase.. for my birthday/lockdown build that was hot from the brazing torch earlier today judging by the photos - some dark green cotton duck Caradice, a zipped roll (for an audax bar bag) and a traditional bend 26.0 handlebar to hang it from. :-bd to St John St Cycles.

It's nice to slow down on the bike isn't it. Something clicked doing Z2 base mile plans years ago and it was just me realising that it's simply the right pace to ride at (mostly).

And delivered a ZPacks Altaplex :-bd
Shall set it up in the garden later, it’s very light!

Update, I’ve not set it up but my überlight large size mat, the Altaplex, required pegs and Stu’s lovely carbon pole all fit very neatly in the Acepac accessory pouch (Also from Stu)
Very neat package 1247 grams inclusive :-bd

My sleeping bag fits in my frame bag, for summer trips I could get away without a seat pack saving a whopping 1kg over my previous setup :-bd

180mm rotor for scale

Osprey fanny pack from SportsPursuit. Lots of features, a decent bladder and usual Osprey quality. Bargain, and a good option for carrying water, food, extra layer etc on trips (I usually go with a small rucksack).

A second hand macpac eVent bivi bag for £68 weighing in at 560g in an exciting orange.

I have pushed the expected use limits of my Terra Nova survival bivi, and it is close to bits. Entire footbox delaminated, plus plenty along, all taped seams have came apart. Still works as a lightweight draft protector (340g) under a small tarp, or dew cover for clear skies, buy would never want it in the rain.

A Silwing tarp from GregMay. I've been thinking of trying one out so this is an ideal opportunity. My pole-a-bear selection should suit it fine.

That's 4 tarps now. Too many?

Been fanny-bag curious for a while now, so I’m glad to say, my Osprey arrived and I’m now free to roam

Two Formula rotors, 203 and 180 mm, two piece with alloy spider.

Went through the last set of regular XT rotors on my short travel trail bike (which is broken and will get a replacement in the coming weeks).

A few more replacement parts on the way for the rebuild. From a oh sub standard moment it's now begun to turn into x-mas.

I got some drivetrain stuff yesterday.

I got some shorts today. Are Endura Humvee's just enormously baggy? I know they're supposed to be baggy but I've only gone up one size from the old style Singletracks and these seem hooooge. However, the XL size  FWE baggies that Jameso recommended are a much better fit..

Then I did an online session with the physio who said "don't ride for a couple of weeks until we sort that knee out".

BOLLOX x(
