haha that's not what I was expecting when you said aero helmet... i thought you meant a track/ TT Ruby Project wings 57 helmet with the extended rear (fin) and built in visor, which make the rider look more like a xenomorph.

...and dropped off a new Giro Fixture helmet to replace the one I managed to crack in an OTB - the last one was 8 years old so was due replacing anyway

Some On running shoes via Sport Pursuit. Bought two pairs to pick the best of the two. Quite like both pairs for different reasons, so got a bit of a dilemma now…

not sure how the images got so big... regatds the helmet and them super aero ones, I doubt I could handle the weight or the price. Thus was down to 30 from £150 so couldn't let the offer pass me by

Not tried it (with the deep wheel) to work yet as came via car today...

A pair of geckowear waterproof socks, intrigued to see if they actually are.

Mudhugger FRX just arrived for the Unit. Hopefully the fit on the rigid forks is OK...

Nice beer options there ledburner, nothing like some strong Belgian trappist stuff to knock you out

... and dropped off a Brand X carbon riser bar from CRC. 780mm wide and 38mm rise. They're really nice. Not quite Easton quality but a lovely shape and the flat bit (you know, the middle bit that gets clamped to the stem) well it's very wide, about 20cm, which sold me as I can now mount my light and Garmin on it and still have room for bar bag straps. Game changer.

Montane Prism Primaloft trousers (pants).

I'd been thinking about these for winter bivvies but it was after my last loch swim that I reckoned they'd be ideal for warming the legs up after being dunked in icy water. I thought about down but I'll be less worried about getting these dirty and/wet.

And a replacement Exped pillow... my last one blew a baffle after I sat down on it too heavily. It still works, depending on how much air is in it) so I might punt it on.

Happy to hear your feedback on those pants as also considered them ( not for after loch swims as not even summer would tempt me to do that.

I've got a pair of Prism trousers and I like them, not worn them much as rarely that cold here.

Wore them in Iceland when out at night looking for the northern lights - just the job there in November.
Wore them between runs when I was doing a duathalon in a team so my legs didn't get cold whist my teammate did the cycling leg.
I've bivied in them in mild weather instead of a sleeping bag/quilt - less successful as they are quite slippery and so I slid about inside my borah bivi, didn't take a may.

But overall, if you can get them at the right price I'd recommend them.

I've had a couple of pairs of Prisms, really rate them, bought some Apex pants from gramxpert to replace them last year

I like to put them on in camp if I've been in a chamois all day, it also means I can pack a smaller sleeping bag

That happened to mine last month when I lent on it a bit hard. It actually punctured. Fixed it OK so will probably stick with it for now...

An old Rockshox elastomer suspension seatpost I got off eBay for £15. Going to stick it on my cyclocross/gravel/tourer bike to see if it makes going off road any comfier as it has relatively narrow tyres

I was (am) expecting a big box containing next years WE goodies but sadly a tree has taken out both a bridge and water pipeline so Severn trent have the road blocked and the Towers is yet again an island. Maybe tomorrow.

Yesterday, a selection of post people brought a selection of hand-warming accessories to this Reynaud's sufferer. I had a pair of Extremities wrist gaiters from Ben P, and two pairs of gloves from Craghoppers that were part of a raffle prize - a pair of thin liners, and a more casual pair of lined woolly gloves. The gaiters and liners should work well with the pogies, which came out for the first time this winter last weekend.

Ironically, as I was writing this, a man came to the door who was NOT the postman, but he'd brought me a birthday card which had been delivered to someone he knew who lives at the same address as me (street name and number) but in a different suburb of Newcastle (there's more than two as well ).
