TheBrownDog wrote: โ†‘Mon Sep 27, 2021 12:47 pm Good looking tread on those puppies and despite myself I'm starting to like to the look of brown sidewalls. They look great on johnclimber's new Surly and I think would add to the clunker aesthetic I'm going for on my Big Bro. Are they still called skinwalls or was it gumwalls? I saw someone on Global Cycling Network saying modern ones leak tubeless fluid like a sieve and are very prone to sidewall cuts.
I think that was due to the sidewalls being thinner on proper skinwalls. I couldn't find anything suggesting these are any different in construction to the fully black variant... ๐Ÿคž

Nope, they cancelled the 2021 calendar and donated โ‚ฌ100,000 to Coronavirus research instead. Besides, their soft pr0n calendars stopped a few years back...

Dropped off this nice carbon Salsa fork for my camping bike. Now have mounts for my fork cages as cable tying them on wasn't much use.

I also got an Alpkit synthetic under hammock quilt off their sale which seems pretty nice for the ยฃ20 or so I paid for it

Post man was useless, had to go to Wales and get it

Fell out, went swimming, got a bit trapped in some trees and lost a paddle. Also had to buy a helmet. Expensive weekend.

Massive grins  :-bd  :-bd
Photos please ;-)

Nice one. It's art, and art that is useful to boot. Nothing could have more purpose. Let's have details of where it came from yeah? Quite like the idea of a bespoke top cap./

An insulated gilet from Galibier. Purchase inspired by the looming *November* BB200 but I think itโ€™s going to get lots of use, on and off the bike.

A 2021 Kona Unit X frameset just arrived, looking resplendent in copper. 2nd hand but practically new condition. It'll replace the 2018 Unit which was a touch too small, as the updates in geometry since 2018 model make this a good fit.

Does mean a Unit frame and longitude frameset will be on sale soon...

Re packrafts, quite interested in these :- https://adeliepackrafts.co.uk/
Mebbes aye, mebbes no. A bit wary of getting something else that will take up time and money (as well as introducing the possibility of drowning into my already risky life) but I'm tempted....

Anyway postie delivered my fixed 'sposures today - loose battery in MaxxD no more, plus got the back panel upgraded so no more stupid 'touch sensitive' switch. Diablo turned out to be fine - it died completely on me when fiddling with it but turns out it just locked itself (I tried to change the programme when the battery was pretty much dead) and had unlocked itself by the time I'd sent it down to be fixed.

New dishwasher incoming tomorrow :-bd
